Been there several times before.

The last ended a few years ago. Lost 6 members of my family in less than 12 months. 4 were very close and a toddler the wife and I had been trying to adopt.

But then you come to realise how important football is. It helps bring normality back for a couple of hours at a time. It gets you out of the house when you don't feel like going anywhere. It gets you back into meeting up with people when you feel like being alone.

Yes the football isn't important. But it will be one cog in a wheel back to normality.

Sorry for your losses.

Spot on, there are more important things in life. Just not many! But perspective is required at present.

Hopefully this break won’t stop our momentum too much. Just have to hope we can carry on in similar form and be grateful for our position.

Heart wrenching. So sorry.

And yes, you’re exactly right..it’s very important to bring back some semblance of ‘normal’ and pleasant distraction.

Not a problem now thanks.

Part of the reason my wife and younger kids now live in France. Quality of life. You never know when your last day is. Our youngest 3 have older parents. So now life is about doing the quality things. The wife packed up work to spend time with the kids. I am with them a quarter of the time. Life is like a holiday with school.

In the 20's again for them today. No school for we don't know how long. The youngest got up at 5am, had a shower then got his school work done. Was finished by the time the others got up. Was outside jumping on the trampoline with the dogs. They love it.

That this came when we were on such a good run and brimming with confidence is a blow for us. In some ways it will help a few players like Kelly and Mccallum who were starting to look jaded.

However, even though training is still (presumably) going on (and even if it stops you'd hope players would have pre-season style fitness plans to keep to) but it's not the same as matchday intensity. I reckon we're going to see a lot of muscle injuries when it resumes.

I still rather resume in our position than anyone else's though.

One good thing is, Jodi Jones should be fit and raring to go.

I would be worried if we weren't 7 points clear with a game in hand .....but we are.

Everyone has to hit the restart button, so all in the same boat..

I am pretty chilled.

There’s a chance Jodi’s kids might be ready to go
