I'm not sure about JFH. On one hand the sort of personality that will put the fear of god into some of our poorly performing players. He's the sort of guy who won't accept fools lightly. On the other hand not sure he has the temperament or experience to cope with a club in our position.

If he could teach them to take throw-ins and set pieces he'd be halfway there.
And also ask them what their best position was before picking the team.

Once again he's not the man, we don't need another 'name' manager. He was lucky to inherit solid foundations from Clough and Rowett at Burton. We're in the position where foundations haven't been laid. I don't think he's the man to do it.

Im genuinely struggling to come up with a list of out of work managers who would want the job, that would be of a capable standard to get us out of this mess with the budget we have. Would be interested to hear any suggestions.

He inherited a squad already on the up, he only signed 4 players in his first season, only 1 still players for Burton....in their reserves.

The work was done by Rowatt and Clough.

He then went to QPR and spent a few million on 4 players and got sacked in the end.

rowett and clough deserve praise no doubt but dont take away anything from jimmy

and also ridiculous to say he is now a spoilt manager torch. big assumption to make.

Glad he has said no. Anyone could come in and aside from a potential new manager bounce would end up getting the same results. Yes we need a new manager, however we need new owners or a new attitude, and new strategy from the current lot. It also needs new investment, we need the club to be settled at the stadium, we need the club to own it as training ground, they can keep on chipping away at the foundations of the club and expect to stumble lucky on a manager.

You would either need to be like TM and an established name that won't really be damaged by being here so can use us as a route back in or someone from much lower down. Doubt many L2 managers would be interested. Or we overpay someone who's failed elsewhere and can't get a job.

If I was a manager with any kind of ambition I would give Cov ( under sisu) a very wide berth.

The budget would probably have been the least important issue in talks, the future and uncertainty around the academy and stadium would be much more of a major stumbling block in attracting a new manager than the budget.
