Of course it would. The trust is already a dictatorship! Think it will improve when they're in fishers shoes??

like I said, if they use the model other fan owned clubs use it wouldn't be a dictatorship.
The problem is, what do you suggest? Staying how we are? An alternative group causing more divisions among supporters?

I've poste this numerous times and appreciate I sound like a stuck record but the guy from Pompey at the Albany club stressed fan unity above all else yet everyone just seems to want to keep falling out with anyone that doesn't agree with them. While we keep doing that we will never improve the lot of the club and we will be as much to blame for our fate as sisu.

By the way, I 'm not a member of the trust.

I said what's the point and what will it achieve apart from try and whip up a bit of anger.

People aren't bothered about logic, people aren't bothered about facts they just want to shout. Maybe protest groups could have a look at things like from OSB and use things like that to advise and explain things to the fans a bit more?

That's not saying don't protest either.

I personally wouldn't have used Jimmy Hills name, I'll agree with you on that.
It's OK though as they asked for his families permission!
When doing so though did the say,
Hi Mrs. Hill. We're sorry for your loss, we'd like to ask your permission to use your late husbands name for our protest group so as we can drag it through the mud and further divide our fan Base? Is that cool? Great, then Fight the Jimmy Hill Way it is then!

Completely agree with that Nick.

No class.

I had same opinion of the trust.

For a bunch of so called intelligent supporters why don't they get the nuance of the City situation.

Just SISU bashing for Sisu bashing sake.

Calling for Fishers head because of transfers during window?

We've brought in 4 players (with others on trial) that have enhanced the squad and not sold any of our talented youngsters for a pittance.

Admittedly I'd have loved a new proven striker (so would every other club!)

But How do you can call that a failure-god only knows!

You are calling out the supporters group for taking action that you don't approve of. I understand that.
Do you want the things to remain as they are?
Are you against any action that is anti-sisu? are you pro-sisu?
If not? what do you suggest should happen?

Nearly right when asked if his name could be used they said yes if he was still alive he would join you.
Jimmy Hill was a big union man do you think he would have sat there twiddling his thumbs if he thought there was wrong doing.
He was willing to take players out on strike to get what he wanted.

Any way you are right the time is gone for the JHW, just need fans to do their own thing..........

Why is that almost a go-to response if people disagree with things?

If I go and have a shite thinking it will make SISU go, if you disagree that SISU will go because of it as you Pro SISU? Are you happy with things as they are?

OR, do you just think me having a shite isn't going to make SISU go?

Is that the new one? Stir the fans up and then say "they are just doing their own thing" ;)

Same as "we dont need to tell fans to boycott, they are doing it themselves on their own" (INSERT SMUGNESS)

It's like telling a big massive bloke that another bloke you dont like shagged his wife, 2 wayed his mum, drank his beer, sat on his comfy chair and wore his slippers the whole time and standing there watching him get a slap. Then giving it the "oh, we didnt tell him to do that, we dont condone violence".

Hmmm.

There are a few things I have concerns about how the Trust does things. I often write them here too ;) but... this is absolute madness.

It's anything but a dictatorship. It may appear a bit of a closed shop because few want to get involved but... you, me... Fisher's dog could all stand for election if we wanted.

It seems to me the people who shout loudest regarding protesters of any kind are the ones who do FA themselves. They seem happy to watch the club be crushed to the point of oblivion by our naughty owners. I wouldn't wish to call the owners any worse as it may upset the politically correct.

I agree that if we are to get anywhere we need the fans together. But surely that should come from the top down, not the other way round. The trust have over 3000 members and the media behind them to make the changes needed. I'm one person with 100 followers on twitter. Who's gonna be heard? Who will have the biggest chance of making that change? And if they're serious about this takeover bid (which I very much doubt), then they must change because as it stands, to me, they're just as bad as SISU right now!
To Fisher, I'm just a customer.
To the Trust, (because I heard a whistle at Bolton) I'm just a small element.

Never say never, but in their current mold, I would support or follow FTJHW nor would I back any kind of a takeover by the trust

Has 'politically correct' ever been used in anything close to its correct context on this forum?

Really? Another generic "well what are you doing" type reply there?

We need fan unity more than ever, I know Im the first to throw a dig in myself sometimes but it's going to end up at Sixfields levels if not worse.

People are angry, people are confused, people sit and get worked up on social media all week about things. It needs rational thinking for action, not playing up to the crowd.

It's been said for months that something pro CCFC (rather than anti anybody whether its sisu, council or anybody) to bring people together a bit.

Whatever anyone tries to do, some on here will find fault with it, followed by the usual cue - expect the "do something yourself type responses" etc, and then try to bash the trust as much as they can... They're like lemmings, one starts, then the others follow....

So predictable. :p

I'm still waiting for CJ to provide me with the Trusts statement disapproving of Wasps moving 95 miles. I've said it before the trust are not fit for purpose. They don't take feedback on board unless it's what they want to hear. They wouldn't call the council out or Wasps, which lot of fans want to happen. It's all just about bashing SISU, which is fine. They are not the only problem though. The trust has 3000 members but we have attendances of 8000. Why are the other 5000 not members? It's universally agreed SISU are shit. Universally agreed we should have an active involvement. Why are the trust not attracting more members? Why is talking to the club about a takeover they can't afford more important than building the membership up?

You have sort of summed up the problem. There are so many factions among CCFC fans, all with their own ideas and people to blame for the mess the club is in. And that suits the owners of the club just fine, while they all snipe at each other about what to do about it. Sisu = Divide and Rule.

I believe that any other club in this mess would have long since organised its fans into a single voice and co-ordinated its protests in a way that CCFC fans have never done. The fans that remain are therefore ineffective. A large proportion have just given up in despair. It's well over three years since the Northampton debacle and we have made no progress since. Time is running out, I'm afraid.

Surely a good way would be to try and create a bit of unity then?

I'll await a reply about a telegraph petition and everybody being united with everything they do or say because somebody signed somebody else's petition.

Do you create unity? As

Considering you were very concerned about Jimmy's name being used by an unworthy group, you yourself seem to have a very poor opinion of his family.

Do you create unity?

Am I a spokesman on behalf of fans?

The legacy fund stuff I tried to push created a fair bit of unity on here at least!

Read my other comment where I've said im the first to have digs sometimes from me, I'm not putting out statements as a trust having digs at other fans like the whistle one.

I'm more than happy to work with the trust with ways to get a bit of unity going if possible.

The guy from the Pompey supporters Trust said to be prepared for the fact that you will never have everyone on board, that there are always going to be those who will criticise and find fault what ever you do. You can see lots of examples on here. Whatever anyone does there will be some who say it is wrong. There bare those who will criticise an action by the Trust simply because it is the Trust and irrespective of what the action is.

I want a supporters group that protests against ALL sides.

Not this biased wank that flies against all logic and the facts.

I am PRO the Club, the players, manager, supporters and our Coventry City FC.

I don't like the way SISU conduct themselves but don't see the way they have owned us any differently than any of the other previous owners. (Can't remember anyone protesting against the selling of Highfield Road or questions asked by the Telegraph about the Ricoh ownership)

This shit would only happen in Coventry.

Any other City and there's no way a fookin rugby club would've allowed to barge their way onto a Football clubs turf (whatever the owners had done).

The only way to unite is to have a fans group that is not a protest group but an action group.

An organisation that has the clubs best interests at heart and not petty vengeance against one side.

A group that challenges all sides for the benefit of the team and its supporters.

Those speakers said a lot of things. He said to distance from any protests, 5 minutes later Moz was going on about going down to London to give Joy a valentines present and that CJ was organising the coach.

There are people on here who are always happy to at least be constructive with criticism rather than just straight up abuse. There's a lot of difference between the 2.

Wasps have been here about two years no? You can also ask our owners why they didnt take up the option to buy at least a 50% stake in the Ricoh?

Jimmy Hill turning in his grave more like.

Everything they do is most definitely NOT the way Jimmy Hill would have done it.

Jimmy Hill had class.

This 'group' of supporters have taken it on themselves to be the mouth piece of CCFC fans.

They do not represent me or my viewpoints and they certainly do not represent the dignity, intelligence and rapport that Jimmy had.

Honestly getting fed up of listening to them.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's why everyone has a free choice. Generally I support the things the Trust say and do and the same for FTJHW. They are a mouthpiece for no one but their own organisations and the people who support them. If I didn't like the way an organisation was doing something, like you, I would say so. If I was fed up of hearing what they are saying, I would probably stop listening or find practical ways to oppose what they are doing. The one thing that does seem to unite almost everyone now is the view that Sisu are bad for this club and that for City to survive and thrive they need to go. The organisations you dislike are very public about the way they are doing things and are therefore an easy target to shoot down. What is it that they are doing that you so vehemently disagree with? What is your plan to get Sisu to leave and how would you go about it?
( If your objections are pitch invasions and the random blowing of whistles, David Johnson has asked a few times that fans do not go on the pitch. Do you think that those on the pitch against Sheffield and Northampton were following a protests group directive or do you, like me, feel that some fans have just had enough and that they are making their own mind up what to do?)

We got rid of 5 loanees and I think we have replaced them with 5 more. We traded our leading scorer to bring in another forward, a like for like swap. We were prepared to sell our captain who only seems to have stayed due to lack of agreement on personal terms. The net gain Is therefore only Clarke ( here until the end of the season and perhaps the replacement for Ricketts who retired 3 months ago). Do you call this a success?

He stayed because the bids were rejected didn't he?

I call that window more successful than people were expecting. We just needed a target man.

Amazing that people shout about SISU will be selling people to pocket the money for the first offer and when they don't they make things up as a reason to still be angry about it! "there were no bids they were made up by sisu" "he only stayed because they couldnt agree personal terms" etc.

What's the need to make shit up?

I was vehemently against wasps and majorly pissed with the councils role in the demise of our club. However the time for protesting against them are long gone I'm afraid. It's far more pressing now to get Sisu to sell up and fuck off.
