The March run of games (season decider) (1 Viewer)

Massive 3 points yesterday. I did think we’d get 0 from the run in we had from Cardiff onwards, so yesterday was a big bonus. Really believe that the March run of games will decide our season. I think 11/18 is achievable and would be huge for us. Winning 3 from 6 a big ask, but after yesterday, not unrealistic. Just hope MR sets us up to win in these games and not just to avoid a loss!

Derby (H) - win
Rotherham (A) - draw
Luton (A) - lose
Wycombe (H) - win
QPR (A) - draw
Bristol City (H) - win

Before the Watford game I thought we needed seven wins and some draws to be safe to be honest I didn’t expect much in February and certainly didn’t expect to beat Brentford so that’s an unexpected one in the bag, if offered I would take two draws now from Swansea and Blackburn. We played well all round yesterday no pissing about at the back most of our injured back looking at March fixtures we have to look at winning half of them and not lose to Rotherham.

Similar thoughts though my target is 10. If we could pick up a couple of draws or one win from the next 2 as well that would be fantastic

I genuinely think 4 wins will be enough to keep us up.

Probably - win 4 draw 4 and lose 8 would probably do it

There will I suspect be some curious results late in the season - teams with zero to play for will be very uncompetitive I suspect after a long season

Agreed G. Everyone saying 50 points minimum like everyone from 12th down is going to pick up at least 12 points from their remaining games which is just not feasible. If that was the case it would mean the top half would have to drop a lot of points. I think 4 wins with a few draws sprinkled in would be enough.

I would agree. We do only have 15 games left though, not 16.

4 wins, 4 draws, 7 defeats. Still very doable.

It depends on which team turns up for each game. The side that played the first half against Norwich will struggle. Yesterday's team will be safe weeks before the end of the season.

It’s about what we are doing now. The only danger is if we lose to teams near us like Derby and especially Rotherham

Yup. While we are ahead, we need draws against those below us. Wins would obviously be a huge bonus, but it's all about keeping them below us, or not getting away from us (as in the case of Derby)

Brentford are not exactly a one trick pony but they are a very different team without Toney - he’s scored half their goals

Dasilva didn’t start either - I think the team they played had scored no more goals than us - he is the biggest factor in their points tally

Toney? Who's Toney? And why hasn't anyone mentioned him before?

All depends which 4 teams we beat draw against.

We should get 4 wins and 4 draws ...but the defeats should not come against Derby, Rotherham or Wycombe. . Otherwise we will need probably need 5 wins.

Just thinking in terms of points. Think 50 may be enough. We need to not lose to rivals though for sure.

5 wins and 3 draws would give us 18 points and a total of 52. That should be within our grasp.
