"I would love it if we could beat them. Love it. He’s gone down in my estimation. Manchester United haven’t won this yet, I’d love it if we beat them":D

I took this thread as a joke when i first saw it. I've since read someone suggest it on twitter in what i presume was an unrelated post. And it looked serious too.
...could you imagine?!

No it doesn't. And I don't know what your wrote. It looks like it's a load of nothing on the paper though. 'Man has opinion - nothing changes'. Utter arse.

LOOKING??!!
I took it to mean he has found investment. Why would they bother putting together such a major campaign. Has anyone read the article?

FORMER Coventry City vice-chairman Gary Hoffman insists major new investment and taking ownership of the Ricoh Arena are essential to safeguard the future of the club * and he's busy working on it! The life-long Sky Blues fan and high-flying banker has revealed that he is doing everything he can to attract potential multi-million pound buyers to breathe new life into a club in financial meltdown.
Speaking exclusively to the Coventry Telegraph for the first time since he quit as vice-chairman last month, the determined 50-year-old said: "We have got to move forward and we must all now work to bring in investors that are capable of moving the club forward and capable of buying the stadium.

"And yes, I am already talking to investors and got some irons in the fire on that. I had one conversation with investors yesterday and I am seeing more today so I have got some good momentum."

I have too. Massive four page story...saying he is looking. And he only spoke with parties over last few days. As concrete as custard. More rubbish.

I see this as the most positive thing we have heard in ages. Lets face it its better than the club statement that some guy in Portugal is running our club.

It is hardly Jojar Dhjinsa again as Hoffman is clearly a Sky Blue and would look a fool if none of this came to fruition.

I think the point that you might be missing is that he doesn't even work for the club any more. He doesn't NEED to find any investment. He has, I believe a fantastic business accumen and number of high calibre contacts and this news that he is actually seeking to build together a takeover bid can only be good for the Sky Blues surely.

I appreciate the article probably doesn't give us anything official or concrete but I would rather have this hope than not hearing anything from the club and taking no news as bad news.
