Raiders release Brown. Not a surprise. Next team ....
Wouldn’t touch the guy with a barge pole. Bloke has talent but isn’t worth the production when he just fucks up the team harmony.

Signs for Pats. Scary options if they can get both Gordon and brown on the field.
Oh shit!! Change my prediction to Pats winning it all again. Belichick will put him in his place, got form dealing with characters like A.B, Randy Moss was a prima dona before he ended up in New England.

Smart move to put him on a 1 Yr contract. Obvious last chance saloon.
Speed of signing makes you wonder how much contact there's been before today and whether that's been behind Brown's antics.

Well good to see Atlanta we’re ready for the start of the season. Complete joke of a performance, Vikes wanted everything so much more than the dirty birds. Hard season ahead with schedule we have if we play all 3 phases like that. Another wasted year of Ryan and Julio talents could be on the cards.

Browns will have issues massaging egos, don’t help when your QB spoats so much bull. That will be such a tough division, Steelers look strong (sure they will lose to Pats now), Ravens just absolutely demolished Miami and Cinci were winning the last time I looked.

Falcons were poor. Numbers deceiving as vikings again fall off once they get a winning lead.
Browns big names but no team. Mayfield played like a college qb.
Cards be lucky to win a couple of games this season. Cue 4th quarter rally:)
Dolphins may be well set up for coming seasons but are going to get murdered this season. Ravens look strong but Dolphins were dreadful.
Cowboys looking decent but giants poor.
Skins put up a good effort against an Eagles side that are going to be strong this year.
Jags in trouble with Foles injured already.
Chiefs going to contend again.

Last season I thought Brady's throws looked a little airy and loped up into the air at times. Last night he was throwing missiles.

What was he thinking with toss into the end zone that was intercepted?
"I'm the $28m man. I'll show them what I can do against teams with a winning record"

There is so much wrong in Washington now but letting Cousins walk was not a bad decision. I actually think Keenum has been playing pretty well and the WRs have put in some good performances. Defence have allowed teams to move the ball at will though which has been surprising.

No secret I like Keenum. Not going to go deep etc. but will move you down field. Honest qb who works hard. Made Diggs and Thielen into top WRs.
Played behind an average O line with us and got us to championship game.
Awful O line at Denver.

To be honest he has made some pretty good deep throws already. McLaurin seems to get good separation so there are a few opportunities. I feel for Keenum though, his hole career has been spent keeping the seat warm for someone else, took a huge paycut to come to Washington and play instead of sit behind Flacco in Denver.

We get burned deep too often too. Big worry.

Collins hasn't showed any reason why he'd be the highest paid back in the league and Norman is just a waste of money.

TO be honest if I was GM I'd have been doing a Miami this year and clearing the deck for Lawrence/Tua next year including collecting draft picks by getting rid of anybody with a pedigree, Trent could have been moved on to Houston for the kings ransom the Dolphins got.

I feel for Haskins being drafted into this situation, Gruden will obviously be gone at some point this season and he has to learn another scheme maybe under a HC that doesn't fancy him.

Norman has never really produced to the levels we expected, he was signed as a CB to completely shut down one side of the field or to travel with the top receivers week in week out, he's shown flashes of brilliance but no where near the consistency required to make what we've paid him look value for money.

Lawrence isn't eligible till 2021, I think its pretty clear the Dolphins are all in on Tua this year, I think we will run with Haskins, he hasn't even thrown a ball in the league yet, and use picks in 2020 to build a strong OL for him.

Yeah that isn't a bad idea. I just feel we're so far from the playoffs let alone the Super Bowl we should be looking at a longer term plan to bring the franchise (Which is still something like the 6th most valuable in all sports) to the top but Dan and Bruce keep chasing a 'win now' (operation premiership) mentality.

Yep, its been like that since I've followed, granted a only a few short years, going all in on RG3, got a bit unlucky with his injuries as he started off great, but we gambled with too much of our future to get him and paid for it for 3 years. At least we didn't sell our soul to get Haskins and now have future picks to build around him and hopefully Guice if he can ever stay fit.

This is Gruden's 5th year here which seems to have gone so fast, one very lucky (9-7) NFC East win all to show for it, barring a complete turnaround in fortunes this year I see it being his last. In 2012, the best season I remember us having we had Kyle Shannahan, Matt LaFleur and Sean McVay on our staff, I'd obviously take any of them over Gruden at the moment. There's been some really poor decisions made at the very top for a number of years both on and off the field.

I weirdly feel like nothing will change until they leave FedEx. I hope they get that RFK patch again, that will invigorate the fan base and hopefully light a fire under the owners. The number of Dallas fans on Sunday in one of the biggest rivalries in US sport was an embarrassment.

Yep, Dallas always a team that "travel" well due to their popularity across the country but it shows that skins season ticket holders would rather sell their tickets than watch the team at the moment.

It's all a bit strange out there, I went to watch us at Fed-Ex vs Miami a few years ago, plenty of Miami fans were there also, but there was a Cowboys fan sat watching the game about 10 rows in front of me in all his gear. Can you imagine a Sunderland fan sat in the Gallowgate end at St James' with an Adam Johnson shirt on watching Newcastle v Bournemouth?

The stadium is so far out of DC, took us over an hour to get there by train but obviously most fans drive as there is so much parking and I think it is the same at most stadiums. Don't know too much about what's happening at the RFK site, I saw they were knocking down the existing stadium, is there a chance we'd build a new stadium there?

As with any sport though, if a team is winning people will go watch!

I thought having other fans was just part of it over there? I know Philly have a problem with others and it always kicks off but generally the fans mixed well elsewhere? Is it just a case of not having a rival fan there when it isn't their team playing?

They are knocking down RFK and have no idea what to do with it, Redskins have shown an interest but the City are wary of being associated with the name controversy and under pressure from local residents to have more public space. Meanwhile Maryland and Virginia are desperate to get a piece of them so have offered sites but then it's the same issue of trekking outside of the district. Skins have released images of what they'd do at RFK, I think it will be around 60,000 but with loads more of the fancy seats.

looks like 1st round will be dominated by defensive players but 2-4 could be heavy with good OL options.
Dolphins just a mess. Bring in a former 1st round pick but have nothing for him to work with. There's zero protection and no offensive weapons. If i was Tua i'd stay in college another year :)

haha, yea, but the Dolphins will just keep tanking till they get a new toy to ruin each year. Very tough on Rosen.

Washington Post reckons that about 35% of the crowd were Cowboy supporters yesterday.
