Was amazed that Jones got another contract. Was clearly never, ever going to be good enough.

Though I am finding Dak's new contract at the Cowboys quite funny. Obviously not as bad as Jones but he's never going to win you anything.

Is Jones an upgrade for a team like Las Vegas? He's not very good but they are awful behind centre.

I've heard he's most likely going to go Dolphins or Cardinals as a backup.

If his performance against Philly a couple of weeks ago is anything to go by (8 sacks, was it?), he wouldn't be an upgrade for any team in the NFL right now! But was most of it down to a very poor O-line???

Didn't like Dak's contract from the start.
Cowboys getting into a Vikings-Cousins situation where you have a QB that is purely out to make money. And overpaying a decent (but not too) QB elite money.
Keep saying that teams are overpaying too many QBs - and in a salary cap sport that's crazy. Chiefs are only team to win a superbowl with a QB accounting for more than 13% of the cap.
Cowboys are just digging themselves deeper into a hole - have to pay Dak, Lamb and Parsons. Going to have no money for anyone else. Think Dak is nearly 90million against 2025 cap.

Oh. I think something has gone wrong with the system here.

I am pretty certain that when you sign up to SBT you have to state which NFL team you support and if you say Cowboys, you are immediately banned and not allowed to post.

Hopefully, it's just a temporary glitch and you will be gone by lunchtime.
I'm pretty sure my support for the Eagles slipped through the net too. In the US at least, Birds fans seem to be on a par with Millwall on the "no-one likes us, we don't care" scale! Don't know why.

Have a poor reputation for attacking visiting fans - not hooligan stuff just pissed up fans picking off people in the stadium and car parks. Obviously no segregation in NFL.

How the heck did 8-2 Steelers lose to 2-8 Browns? Local derby in a blizzard might have had some influence on the result. Our soft footballers would have have the game called off in those conditions!

That commanders game was insane.

Absolute diabolical game for 3.5 quarters only to nearly pull it out of the bag again then throw it away twice.

I think they’re struggling because of the late bye. They seem to be a bit jaded at the moment.

Got to think more than ever Giants GM Schoen is regretting the Hard Knocks. "Need to save money on Barkley, spend the money on helping our $40m QB" etc

Freakin' comedy of errors! Even that onside kick - just crazy! No wonder they are both where they are!

Eagles beat the Ravens to go 10-2, with Hurts starting to learn some fakery (at last) but their secondary against the passing game is utterly shambolic and will get torn apart by Detroit in the NFC game if they get there as i expect them to!
49ers struggled in the snow, but Buffalo are coming good at the right time.

Chuffed for Bryce young, the break seems to have done him good. Looking far more like a NFL QB. Gutted for Burrow, probably my favourite QB, him and Chase are being wasted at the Bengals

Young had to up his game or he was probably getting traded/released. There's a player there but notanumber one pick.
Bengalsdefense is just garbage. Burrow playing incredible football - up there with Allen as the form QBs atm.

Eagles/ lions would be interesting because that Eagles defense could take the run away from the Lions which could change things up. And it's mobile QBs that have caused the Lions defense the most problems this season.
Bills just a really well-balanced team - not particularly great pass or run game but highly efficient. It's the turnovers they are getting that's the game changer. Allen is doing a great job leading the team - also they have reallystrong coaching set-up. 49ers just can't get going this season - injuries been an issue.

Is it fair to say that the Eagles D-line hassling the QB is probably their strongest weapon? The space they give WRs and TEs. especially in the first half is quite shocking. A decent passing team could tear them to pieces!

No sympathy from me. If he wanted a defence then he shouldn’t have accepted a monster contract.

NFL QBs will have to eventually come to the point that they realise to win things they have to be minutely less rich.

All egos trying to get the highest payday ever.

I'm wondering whether this season maybe the tipping point on non-elite QB contracts.
The number of unbalanced rosters creating so many poor teams (Burrow's contract hasn't even hit the Bengals yet). But Rodgers, Cousins, Jones, Lawrence, Watson (plus others) on money way past their actual value. Darnold's form is going to have some teams looking at reclamation projects going forward.

Fangio's defence built on 2 high and creating pressure. Does have 3 excellent coverage cbs. Plus Jackson can make any defense look disorganised with his movement.
Eagles defense leading league in yards allowed and only giving up 18 PTS per game.

Eagles look strong as do the Bills, I think Lions injuries may take its toll
Where Lions have been "lucky" is avoiding injuries on their excellent O line. Key to everything they do. 12 games with same starting O line extremely unusual.
Interesting to see how they go against the Packers tonight with the first injury miss - Decker out. Also starting to pick up a few defensive injuries.

Interesting that Bills went down the Chiefs route of backing the QB and spreading money across the team rather than paying big money for WRs. Releasing Diggs and Davies, carrying a lot of dead money. A threat this season but also really well set up from next season onwards.
Eagles going to be about keeping Barkley fit.

Yep, Bills have handed Mahomes the toughest time this season and their only loss. But unless they lose again KC will probably have home-field advantage all the way to the AFC game. I suspect the Bills' only chance of getting to SB is if they play KC in Buffalo.
