Can't answer the goalie question but the Everton number nine was a player who turned out to be a fantastic striker for Ipswich, Liverpool and England- David Johnson.
That was by far the best game Young had in a Coventry shirt, I liked him but he turned out to the warm up act for Tommy Hutchison a year later.remember that leeds game, they put two on quinton young and still struggled, remember him dribbling down the wing andthen all the way back into our half wasting time..gary sprake must have got through at least 3 packets of wrigleys in the half he was in front of us! that was the only time i waited for opposition team to sign autographs, they all came out and just got on the coach, remember arthur askey the comedian was with them, all encouraging them to sign then giving them a mouthful when they didnt. lol
Did he tell them to Buzz Off ?remember that leeds game, they put two on quinton young and still struggled, remember him dribbling down the wing andthen all the way back into our half wasting time..gary sprake must have got through at least 3 packets of wrigleys in the half he was in front of us! that was the only time i waited for opposition team to sign autographs, they all came out and just got on the coach, remember arthur askey the comedian was with them, all encouraging them to sign then giving them a mouthful when they didnt. lol
