It was terrible camera work and potentially commentary (although presume they’re commentating on the same pictures we see)

Amazing comeback by Yee !
Commentary saying the New Zealander looked broken was a bit ridiculous - he looked like a bloke running the end of a triathlon, nothing more or less!

Why are so many swimmers entering the pool area in ski jackets ? Yanks particularly . Are they cold ?

Seeing a lot of posts about this. Is this person transgender? All I'm seeing outside of social media is reports of a test which reported back elevated testosterone levels.

She was disqualified from the world championships for high testosterone

Think it’s similar to Caster Semenyo. Born female but has a genetic condition where she has high levels of testosterone.

I'm reading a lot of comments about men ruining a female sport but nothing to suggest this person is a bloke or transgender just that they tested high for testosterone and were disqualified from a competition.

Caster has an intersex condition and is correctly categorised as male with a DSD. Not female or trans. So is this Algerian apparently. Nothing to do with trans.
It's simply poor regulation and blatant sex discrimination against females.
IOC disgraceful lack of integrity.

Sorry mate , maybe we are wrong and she's just very manly

But men shouldn't be competing in women's sports either way
No, I agree men shouldn't be in women's sport. I'm just genuinely confused as there is a wide spread conclusion this person is a bloke and I'm yet to see anything conclusive other than testing high for testosterone and some Russian bloke saying she's got XY genes in a telegram chat.

All I know is she's failed 2 tests related to testosterone and all I get is this Screenshot_20240801_134422_Chrome.jpg

This high testosterone bit is a blind alley.
Women only have high testosterone if they have a medical condition or if they're doping. It doesn't happen naturally in healthy females. Even when it occurs due to a medical condition it is nowhere near as high as normal male range.
It's an excuse not to exclude males from female sport and is a failure to regulate to protect females.
Caster is rightly now banned due to unfair advantage due to having internal testes.

Of course there may be the one in a hundred million person to whom this does not apply. But that's what regulation in sport is for, to exclude unfair advantage.

Murray and Evans starting very slow again. Why is it half empty there?
That's very good compared to previous matches I've seen. Barely a quarter full at best.

I've just watched some basketball. 3 per team all shooting in the same net. Germany v China. The German team is female.
The China team has two very tall players ( numbers 10 and 11) who look like males.
I'm guessing it's mixed teams ( I've only watched the tail end of this) because if it's all female then the Chinese have cheated.
They lost anyway.

Sports coverage in England is so annoying. The fluff and filler they put out is annoying, they are determined to make a story. Just let the events write their own...

I want to watch some track and field! Not a load of old waffle!
