Maybe he'd already waited. And waited. And waited. And became ever more tired of broken promises. As per the Marlon Ling farce?

I though it wasn't the embargo but non payment of rent and concerns at the financial stability of the club? Why did 9 others sign if that was the case?

It's more than likely he just preferred going to Swindon, either due to their chance of going up or wages being offered.
They are on the up at the moment.

That's not the point. You claim he didn't sign due to the crude metaphors used above. I'm saying this is at odds with the player saying he's disappointed he's left. If he'd have felt as you did, he wouldn't have offered the compliment the use of disappointment associated with Thorn's departure signifies.

His not being able to join due to the transfer embargo being a matter of historical fact; but it's the above upon which you've been proven wholly wrong.

Just once, just admit it. You can delete it afterwards if you want

Maybe so. Wouldn't disagree with that. But that's not to say he thought as badly of Thorn as Grenduffy makes out with his use of words.

Otherwise ' disappointment' wouldn't be used to describe the player's view if his departure, eh?

What from the player that wouldn't wait a couple weeks before joining him? Sincere.

I though the same, but, it was uncertain whether we was going to come out of the embargo, so he understandably took the opportunity to play for Swindon.

Missed out big time!

Surely if he REALLY wanted to come and we really wanted to him we would have told him that the embargo would be up in a day or 2 so to hold fire. Somebody in the club would have known when the embargo would be up so we could have asked nicely for a slight delay.

would you trust sisu with your future if you had another option. His comment was not about him signing or not.
He felt as a fan of cov it was a bad thing to sack Thorn.

We signed 9 players when the embargo was lifted...

MMM stared that the embargo was not the driver but concerns over financial stability, non payment of rent etc.

So I pose the question why has any players signed indeed why have 40 applied for the management position.

But we need to understand the context of the comment.

On a national radio station he gave a non confrontational response to a question as all footballers do.

Had he given a minutes thought to the issue? Probably not.

Shaw was asked about training on Monday and how the players reacted to thorns sacking. He gave a very honest response and footballers are selfish and turn their thoughts to the future not looking back.

If the players didn't give it any thought are we supposed to believe someone who didn't sign for us gave any thought to it? I think not.

No he introduced the Thorn comment himself.

He said he would like to get us in the cup because he is a fan.

They said coventry are struggling

He replied it us a shame that sacked Andy Thorn too soon

They did not ask him about Thorn. He said as if he thought that thorn was going to do a good job.

Yep Wise has the X factor over the likes of THORN for sure - that counts for a great deal at this level

Did Thorn have the 'Y' factor - why did he do that? Why didn't he sub that player? Why did he eat the last pie?

Being a great player doesn't always mean they will be a great manager? We need someone who is a tactician and a thinker who is a man manager. Plus someone who can work with their employer always looking over their shoulder.
