I was going to suggest putting the lamps on it, so has that been the norm as it obviously lacks sunlight this time of year.
That should be rectified as spring approaches.
I reckon whoever laid it has failed as there are areas that look green enough but others where it looks bald.
I doubt it's a consequence of how often it's used, and we've hardly been at home in the last couple of months.
I can remember one other year where it was crap during a particularly long spell of freezing weather,.
I reckon if the undersoil is on continuously for an extended period they could possibly cook the grass.

Do the other pitches shared by rugger teams look this bad or is it something about the Ricoh?

If we'd managed the original design with a sliding pitch maybe we could have slid a new one in each game?

Could the problem with the pitch be due to less sunlight being able to get to it because it is actually below the ground level?

I dont think Ashton Gate has any problems, same as Ricoh footie and rugby played there as well.
Alot of our home games were played in the wet during the autumn.

Yeah but it looks like the new grass has failed for whatever reason.
Don't think it's quantity of games.
See in the pictures earlier it looks like a frost cover on it as well.
Could do with John Ledwidge on here.
Sure he'd soon anylise the problem.
Probably comes down to money.
