so what do we know

we nearly went into admin but not quite
We are not for sale (bollocks - show me a business that is not for sale- anybody with enough money can buy anything)
More funding - looks like conference players in over the summer again
Thorn and harrison applied for manager - seems like doing it on the cheap again
Ranson not staying on at all - he now knows they are a complete load of tossers

The board is now run by businessmen who give their ideas, they are associates..

SISU gave £7 million...

I wish Bob Brolly would shut up..

Is that the whole press conference?

What an absolute anti climax.

It's absolutely appalling that a press conference about the city's football team doesn't get preference of the air waves for half an hour

Bit of finger-pointing at the previous broad then, "don't blame the investors, blame the board."

So the previous board weren't targetted enough into buying the ground??

For fucks sake Stevie Wonder could see that the only way for us to progress (and for SISU to make any sort of money) is to own at least half of our own stadium and bring in some income and then progress to owning it all.

Very strange.

Annoyed at BBC C&W for saying they were going to have the press conference, only for them to blabber over half of it then cut away early.

Wait for the blackmail soon from Sisu--- 'Council sell us the ground cheap or we'll have to go into Administration'.

A bit like BR/RR 'Council we need a new stadium else we'll go into Administration' .

Then all the arm twisting on the Council (when only 15,000 out of 400000 Cov go up there).

Dont sell it to the Sisu cowboys on the cheap!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Has Annie Lennox joined the board? I thought BBC C&W had cut from the end of the press conference, but maybe she was actually there just to let us know we're resorting to talking to angels for help.

If SISU want the stadium then they need to pay market value for it. I can't think why a strapped City Council and a Charitable Trust should subsidise a commercial organisation that has shown no skill whatsoever in running a commercial business effectively to provide a profit, or customer satisfaction, or employee security and satisfaction.

Thing is if sisu do get there grubby mits on the stadium, how much money would they put in from the money generated from the stadium to the team? Nowt knowing that lot. Just line there pockets even more.

Councils spending is being slashed to the bone, make them a decent offer and they will probably be forced into selling.
How much does the reeko make a season?

Paul Clouting, - 'We need to enage with people. Find out what they like and what they don't like about the club."

LIKE: Winning games.
DON'T LIKE: Winning 1 in the last 18.

There ya go, Paul! Easy-peasy!

They love to spout about this communication but they are very selective about what they listen to....

I just heard the bit about the council not knowing - ffs did he not think it was wise to have discussed this with a vested interest before spouting on the radio? I had thought this was one of the few positive bits of news despitye not sayiong much on the playing side but turns out this was complete fabrication - don't you just love em?!

TBF I think you would find that SISU would buy the stadium (or part of it to start with at least) with some generous arrangement from the council that would probably be some sort of lease to buy approach with a balloon note in say 5 years or 10 years time. They do have an option to exercise but that's probably the only way they can do it. revenue streams are everything to a business and as this is a football club needs to get streams from the stadium. Just why SISU had not done that sooner can only be because they thought a promotion possible and a windfall. That never came so they are backed in a corner. They have to invest.

But be clear the stadium purchase would also NOT be SISU owned....it would be the company of CCFC which would pass directly to the next buyer. It would be an asset to SISU yes but not to keep hold of - it would be a CCFC's holding. Once acheived the club can raise money buy more likely will be a better purchase option for new investors.

Nowhere did I hear they have £7m ? I think they said several million? That is 3 or more so not sure what that can be.....but it's enough to meet the current creditors so suspect it's more likely 3/4m than 7m.
Also if SISU have pumped in this money then why was it only 'secured' at 10:30am? That sounds more like the bank mortgage funding from the Ryton training ground....

Ray Ranson needed to go. He has been a very disappointing chairman getting his manager appointments wrong and his personality and communication have been like a wet fish. SISU clearly had stripped him of his responsibilities earlier and that was in itself a push. Just what happens to his apparent 20% stake is not answered? Will he be back in the summer with his friend Delieu with backers for a takeover? I sincerely hope not.

No real direction on the manager front....no names mentioned.
Is there enough funding now for a new manager?

Not enough questions and considering they promise to be more transparent - I think they have failed at that yet again.
We needed to hear details of their intent not rhetoric and a dumb press sitting like goons.
