The queues (1 Viewer)

The queues to get in this season are very bad. Does anyone have an idea of why this is? All the turnstyles are open. I got in at five minutes in today just in time to see Swansea's first!

It's no different to any ground in the country. Cov fans just aren't used to it.

If you go to any Premier League game, the queues are huge.

Paid on the gate last night and there was a bit of a queue as only one turnstile was open for a bit and everyone was getting patted down but generally alright.

Have to say it was refreshing there being no queues for the toilets or bars either before the game or at half time.

I was sat in the North Stand though.

Surely it would make more sense to use the metal barriers and ‘snake’ the queues in front of the supporters bricks, rather than queue in straight lines back to the road?

Just turns into a free for all at the back and it’s difficult for those in wheelchairs to make their way round.

It’s difficult to wrk out where the end of the queue is and where they are heading and the slowest pat down in history doesn’t help.

@Sky Blue Pete this is worth raising, probably a cost issue but the queues straight out cause all sorts of problems.

coming up from the underpass past the train station everyone semms to queue at those 5 turn stiles! if you walk futher down they are not too bad and as you get towards the Casino they are virtually empy?

What were they searching everyone for, what were they looking for? Stupid concrete barrier in the road, block 13 netted off, all seemed over the top
Bottle lids and after the derby game quite sensibly although it would be a hell of a throw to his the Swansea fans

Imagine if we started selling out… There was room for nearly another 10,000 City fans and it was still carnage.

We missed the kick off from by Gate 13 and hadn’t arrived particularly late. Not early either but thats not always easy after work etc, especially for night games. It was really poorly organised - the queue crossed the road, people couldn‘t get through, especially mobility scooters. As we got closer to kick off the queue was down as far as the station entrance and people started pushing in at the front. They tried to make women put their hands on their heads - Mo Farah style - which presumably was some kind of search but weird. How would that show if had something under my coat. Then they were asking for tickets again at the steps going up to the seats even though we could hear the game had started. it takes time to get them out of zipped pockets again, very frustrating. Queues are inevitable as gates go up and I have responsibility to get there in good time or face the consequences. I accept that. I just worry that it’s so poorly organised - a few people pushing aggressively by gate 13 on Tuesday and it could have been very unpleasant.

The head of security and his team fucked up big time v Derby and will see this pitiful over reaction as being proactive. His head is probably on the block as we speak.

Wouldn't count on it. The last chap was useless, disliked by the staff who could see the issues and his failure to do the basic things to resolve them, and had numerous games with issues. He even started having a go at fans on twitter who, politely, pointed out flaws in the way things were being run.

He never got the push, ended up at Leicester I believe which could be seen as promotion given their Premier League status.
