Just a thought...........following unexpected defeats this year to Shrewsbury, Carlisle, Crewe and Yeovil had Robins lost the dressing room?
We were all impressed by Robin's club statements 'of saying as it is' and not witholding from public personal critisism of individuals.
But did this go down well with the players and did he suffer a backlash as a result or did they feel he suffered from "small man syndrome"?
No offence to small men btw, I'm only 5' 9" myself.

I see where your coming from I thought more what if Robins thought I've done we'll so far, lost the last couple, if we start to decline and finish mid table will the likes of Huddersfield come calling next season. I think he shat himself that he may not have been the messiah we all thought and he jumped ship before he thought it was too late

the reason robins left the club was because huddersfield are more like to be in the championship next season than we are, (maybe) more money, and the club is owned by a fan, who is willing to invest money into it.

I think Robins had the backing of the players, fans and board, and if there was ever a case of Robins or a player to go, the player would've gone.

He didn't lose the dressing room but lost too many matches. Without promotion this year is own personal standing and earning potential would have been affected. That is his primary interest. He would have been planning an exit strategy the minute he joined.

Personal opinion of course

I've said it before but MCG was the saviour of our season and not MR. As soon as MCG left the goals and results dried up and we lost virtually 4 games on the trot this year against mediocre opposition.

I certainly don't think he lost the dressing room. However, I do think he's the sort that can't handle defeat very well. A quitter.

I wouldn't say a quitter, I'd be quite happy with a manager who doesn't handle defeat very well. Last season AT would heap praise on the side when they'd played badly, saying it was a matter of time before the results came. Managers can't be too nice and acceptant of average

He is a money grabbing person. No excuse for leaving after 5 months. Let's hope we can continue successfully without the dwarf

Robins had pound signs in his eyes. No excuse for what the little dwarf has done. It's a measure of how low Coventry have sunk over the past 11 years that a manager would jump ship to a shit club like Huddersfield Town

He was also know to say that many of the players were not up to scratch which was unlikely to endear him to the players.
I believe that recent league results together with the JPT loss signified to him the end of our promising season and it was an opportunist time to make a dignified/undignified exit.
