Absolutely shocked and disappointed. This isn’t the type of behaviour that we were expecting. The fact this has been going on for years and years and we are now left at this point, when we thought there was hope, isn’t right.

One stupid decision has left a right mess and I cant see an end to it that works for all parties.

I just don’t buy the danerys plot change and how she has gone from wanting to protect innocent folk to burning down an entire city.

I keep seeing people say "they played us". What do they mean? Who has been played and why?

Don’t panic !
I think there is a date 29th of May I think it is when the EFL demand this saga is done and dusted once and for all or else, so two weeks yet. to be honest I think it’s beneficial to either side to play hard to get. As I said there’s about a fortnight to go yet and I suspect a bit more doom and gloom but my money is still on a deal.

Maybe it means they released all those nuggets of information about past behaviour by the council et al, and we started to take some of the heat off, then they announce they're going to have talks, when all along they were writing their submission to the EC??

If Gilbert's got this wrong he will have to go and work with Les Reid at the Observer. It is possible for their to be a deal and not include Wasps if the next litigation is solely based on defining what is state aid.

We could be looking for a new CEO and manager by the end of the month
One goes, then both will go.
If this story is true, and I emphasis IF, then both will be very disappointed and all of the trust will be gone.

Someone on twitter said, maybe European court to sue ccc but dropping action on wasps. Would that make sense?

At the moment, all this story does is add to the anti-SISU agenda that certain people try to push. I wouldn't be surprised if Wasps are trying to find a way to back out of negotiations without making (bigger) enemies of our fans, and this is their way of doing it.

So one possibility here, and i must stress that there's a good possibility i dont know what im talking about, is as follows.

SISU have complained to the Commission, probably same day they lost the recent appeal. The Commission now have to decide whether to investigate and ultimately seek a decision in the EU Court of Justice. This will potentially take years but my understanding is that they probably dont have the ability to force the stadium deal to be undone/altered so that Wasps pay additional money. I think they could rule that the UK Government pays damages to SISU but if this is all the case then technically Wasps may be happy to continue negotiations.

If the story is complete fiction we will know that very soon, so i dont see why Wasps would try that knowing it will be disproved in days, thus removing any 'excuse' generated to withdraw from talks.

It all seems a bit strange, as if wasps wouldn't know.

From some brief reading it looks to me like the Commission can keep your action against a national government anonymous, so its plausible for SISU to expect Wasps not to know about it (especially if they aren't going to be affected by any judgements eventually made).

If that were true, I wouldn't be thanking him if they were poised with their pen about to sign... but nobody, *nobody* would be stupid enough to think more legal moves weren't going to come, surely?!?
Funny how people said they should call Sisu bluff.
Start talks they drop legals!
So talks start and so do the legals apparently.

Seriously cant be bothered with all this shit fuck um all gutted.

OK but if it is true, and we don't that despite some of the rants on here, someone must have leaked it, and why would SISU or CCFC leak something that would be received so negatively

The leak could be elsewhere, we have no idea where Gilbert's source is for this. I agree that SISU/CCFC are unlikely to have done this but conceivably either of those could have disgruntled employees.

Will wait for more to emerge before panicking. Gilberts already changed his story once and it was only a few days ago he was telling us the Ricoh deal was all done so will take this with a pinch of salt.

If there is something to it we have to see what the detail is. Not worth panicking over something this vague. People are in hysterics claiming Robins will go, its definitely a ground share, end of the club etc. Completely ridiculous without knowing what is actually happening.
Gilbert seems to think wasps had no idea until he posted it
If that's true he should have kept his mouth shut while the talks were ongoing. Or does our local media only stay silent when the council want to bail someone out without the public knowing about it?
CCFC and the franchise have signed an NDA so unless the talks have fallen apart then neither can say anything and I suspect the talks falling apart would be big news.
Exactly, if talks had collapsed then each side would be racing to get their side of the story out in the media first. Not sitting back saying no comment.

Don’t get kicking this Gilbert bloke, sometimes things need bringing into the open happens all the time in the political world. As said before no need to panic yet, as Harold Wilson said, a week is a long time in politics, we have two.

Personally I will be pissed off if him revealing this leads to talks collapsing. The local media were quite happy to keep the councils bailout of ACL out of the spotlight to allow that to go through, why not apply the same standard to the football club?

The 'in the public interest' argument is great but if Wasps, as Gilbert now claims, knew nothing about it hardly likely to help talks. What do you think the first topic of conversation will be at the next meeting between Boddy and Wasps?

It will be a continuation of the negotiations imo there is no other option despite what has been said. If there is it’s relitively easy to find out where, this far down the line other party’s will know such as the relevent local authority, police, just needs questions to either under FOI I’d think,
