Absolutely incredible noise from the fans today. Non-stop from the first minute. Be hard to find support like that in a 4th tier football league anywhere in the world. Definitely more than 1350 in there. A group of 5 next to me were able to buy tickets in the Grimsby ticket office at midday today.

So that's what it was all about.
A bit of tax fraud no doubt! B-)

Their fans saying our support was s**t. What a load of rubbish. Looked like there was more in there than 1300. I thought the atmosphere in our end was brilliant. Shame the same can't be said for them! Probably because they have discovered what Slade is actually like and realised he is not their messiah after all.

very loud today. you can tell when you're in there whether it's a good day or not. Today definitely was. Often we are quite subdued. That touch of injustice really got us going. Added to that fact their fans were silent. Weird since they took 2k+ top Chesterfield and were noisy, apparently

Their loud and our loud are two totally different things.

It is like I said before the game. They are quiet at home. But they do make a noise away from home. So to them they are loud. It always sounds louder when you are in the middle of it. Our loud away from home is loud. But we normally need something to spark it. But when on song we are normally louder than the home supporters. Sometimes even when we are getting thrashed.

We have great away support. The home support would be much better if the ground wasn't too big for us.

Great atmosphere, these small traditional stadiums always sound great when we've good numbers singing together.

Unbelievable, still struggling to talk today
Maybe that is why my wife is happy for me to go to games. Peace while I am gone and peace when I get back.

As the usual suspects couldn't make it I was accompanied yesterday by a Norwich City Supporting
mate, now he's a good lad who knows how to enjoy himself :emoji_beers: he absolutely loved it and is already
Gagging for the next instalment.
Regarding the tickets situation, we were late to the ground and met a bloke on the way, he was from
Cov but living up north and knew nothing about tickets being off sale.
We approached the gate and were going to say he'd lost his ticket but when we got there, they were
Already taking money to let people in, he paid £20 and walked in with us, no problem.
Earlier on I Asked a copper outside the pub why tickets had been took off sale, said he knew nothing
Of it and 'as far as he was aware tickets were available on the gate (sergeant as well)

That's why we need a revised Butts Park Arena!

Nope, we need a reasonably succesful team getting 20k+ gates, Ricoh more than half full will sound very good, the away support would be better again.
Singers corner would be half the ground with a run of good fortune!
One thing i noticed last season was how quiet the ground sounds from the familly stand area, have familly that used to go into the far blocks 22-24 i think and occasionally id wander over if there wasnt a lot happening, where from block 16 we sounded really bubbly loud and voiciferous from the blocks far away it sounded really quiet and dead, depressingly flat.
If i wanted my children up there hoping they would enjoy it i would want them over the half of the ground with the noise and atmosphere not as far from it as possible.

If you put the 9000 we get at home games in most of the grounds in L2, we would have one of the loudest home supports in the league.

Long-term we need to get something of our own sorted out and not play second fiddle to a London rugby team in their stadium.
I think you and a few others need to come to terms with the fact that they are no longer a London rugby team. Now I would love to see their demise or them moving again but it's not going to happen anytime soon. Sorry we are stuck with renting at the Ricoh that's the reality.

The problem is, in 12 years or whatever it is, that has barely happened.
