Why do people keep saying 5 years? It tool Wimbledon 12 years from restarting to get to league one. People moan than prospective fans are fed up and finding new things to do in a Saturday, 12 years are playing non league/ league 2 will completely kill the club.

Exactly.

It's weird that people are angry about us going down 1 league, so to fix that we should go down 7 or 8.

It is very strange, and almost as if people are gearing up for it to be a good thing if other parties force that.

I can't believe any city fan would want liquidation.

What people miss when they are banging on about being top 10 championship and signing a long term rent deal is how?

I think its achievable if you can get on board with new owners that can afford to invest Nick. The problem with any body is what will the cost of buying from SISU be? If you look at the facts with a proper plan of investment you can grow the club and the higher you go up the league the greater the financial rewards. The smaller premiership clubs like West Brom for instance are run within their means their is no big hoohar about the income from the stadium. If you get a long lease at the Ricoh you have a known fixed cost that can be worked into a budget, I would imagine you would spend a similar amount of cash on the upkeep of the infrastructure at a place like the Ricoh. If you do not have ambition then what is the point of ownership?

Where there is life there is hope.
The Accrington Stanley & Bradford Park Avenue examples may be worth considering, not just the 'successful' returns from the grave

Again, it's calling on people to pump loads of money into the club that it doesn't have or can't make back.

What happens when they want their money back?

If they do have the money, why wouldn't they take over another club?

The only way forward is for the 'team' to be successful.

It'll take a billionaire or consortium to get rid of SISU.

The only way that would happen is if we looked like we had a chance of being promoted to the Premiership-where the big bucks are.

I just can't contemplate all this liquidisation bollox-people would sacrifice years of history just to get rid of the owners-shows how much they don't understand and how much they don't care about our club!

We're not an AFC, Utd, Sphinx or Sporting.

We are Coventry CITY. If we are liquidated we'll never be City again.

As we all know there isn't anything straight forward in our situation and whoever is to blame is irrelevant unless we are looking for who to lynch. What really concerns is there isn't anyone who can navigate the storm we are coming into in the next 12-18 months. That much we know and we can guess what happens after that. Liquidation-no, dialogue-yes, negotiation-yes, plan B -YES

Then how can you expect people to support them? We've had years of people with grand ideas but no plan and they've all fallen flat. Give people something tangible to get behind.

Exactly! I'm not falling for the "just trust us" stuff.

If there's a great plan, share it with us, if the club is being distressed by wasps and the council then why not share the plan? We can all get excited like italia then.

Most people who go into purchasing a club usually do it with a pot for transfers, SISU did the same thing before stopping the funding. If you get the balance right with a modicum of investment in this league say 2 million on top of the playing budget you would be their or their abouts with a manager like TM. If you managed one promotion you would get your money back if, and its a big if, you get the club at a reasonable price. The issue any potential future owners of CCFC have is the amount that SISU would want to sell, figures of 70 million have been banded about recently which is a complete non starter as far as any one with a nose for business is concerned. Fisher has also consistently said its not for sale so wont give a price. This is why most people think its a viable option to get the club liquidated as they see it as a positive step forward rather than a slow death, until some one actually says to JS how much and get an answer you cant make a plan. Pumping the big money in as you call it would be to purchase the club not the running of it.

But we have gone down 1 division, I could understand if we had gone from the premier league to the conference North

How can liquidation be seen as a step forward? Liquidation is the end isn't it?

I'm not shouting for liquidation but please this situation cannot carry on, it;s been going on for so many years now, you give me an alternative what can be done to save our club. As far as I'm concerned at this time fan based ownership is the only way out of our problems and the only we can achieve that is liquidation.

Who would pay the player's wages?where would we play?

They should pump all of their money into the club and then leave without a fuss for the next person to do the same.

Where will we play anyway ?

Well when SISU drop the legals which many people want, we will sign a long term deal at the Ricoh with SISU as our owners, pumping no money in, selling our best players, and the club self funding, treading water in league one, or relegation to League Two. Why would SISU sell?

That's what will probably happen, and it seems that's what most people want.

Cue outrage for daring to post a hypothetical outcome.

That's a good question Nick, but for some reason there seems plenty who want to and do, just in the last few months we have seen locally Villa, Wolves and West Brom get new owners and I think Brum are in the process of changing hands, I don't think the Ricoh situation makes massive difference either anyone with deepish pockets could sort a decent deal there too.

That is what sisu are doing now get the football team ticking along self sufficient and cash in once a year or so on a starlet, with an undisclosed fee and put it into the sisu piggy bank an ideal situation for them, I doubt owner Joy Sepalla even remembers or cares what colour we play in !

Hasn't it been pointed out by OSB (who knows numbers) that the transfer fees received are not going into Sisu's piggy bank?

Yep, now we are being run on a more self sustaining model and not reliant on sisu pumping in money, there is no real need for them to sell. Just keep keep ticking along in league one or worse case scenario league two. The only bit i can't see, is a long term Ricoh deal, I think they will give thr FL a merry dance and go for another short term 2+2 year or 5 year max.

Again, where would we play? What would make the club attractive to a new owner?

Why would anyone want to buy a football with a rugby franchise looking to become the city''s biggest sport's team at the expense of the football club. Oh, and the local council seemingly want the same thing as well.

Yes but they are SO evil they can transfer the money from the CCFC accounts into the Cayman Islands just using the POWER OF JOY'S MIND! Here is a live stream of it.

I agree RB, but this was the point I was making, long term deal or not it doesn't get rid of SISU.

With respect to OSM this is a hedge fund operating from the Cayman Islands, Governments of the world don't know the financial facts and figures from there let alone someone from Skybluetalk, also how does OSB wether he's good at numbers or not know what the numbers are if they ain't disclosed ?

Agree but a no agreement brings the whole issue to a head, yes it is twitchy bum time for us fans but long term ?? Who knows, one thing though things and our possible destiny will become clearer long before the end of next season.

Liquidation is a quick death. End of....City.

Why would anyone want that?

Are you fooking nuts?

Who in there right mind would buy a club that doesn't own their own stadium, are in millions of debt and who's academy may be closing.

Football is a business why would anyone buy a club spending say 30m and then still have to spend more to build a new stadium? Maybe if we were in the Championship we'd be more enticing but we are in League 1! What mug would spend that kind of money on a league 1 club with no stadium!

The only reason those other clubs have been taken over is because they are either in the premiership or have a chance to get promoted to it.

The last place finish of the premier last season earned more money than every club in Europe bar two-Barca and Real Madrid.

The last placed team earned more for finishing bottom than Real did for winning the Champions League.

She probably doesn't, but according to your thinking she knows who all the academy graduates are and their potential value,
I very much doubt it

I think it maybe a Jack Nicholson moment Nick! "They can't Handle the truth!" if we really knew what was going on instead of supersition all time i think a lot of the fans would be topping themselves over it.

Yep, agree with this and this I what I have been saying. Only way out of this mess if Sisu don't just leave is for us to be successful.

Getting promotion to the Championship would be a start. Might well struggle when we get there, but one step at a time.

The more successful we are the more attractive a proposition we become.

At the moment we are not an attractive proposition at all.
