Some people need to get a grip. Complaints about Danny Murphy referring to England as 'we.'

BBC viewers rage over 'biased' England World Cup commentary

I would expect him to say 'we.'

If it was Strachan on a Scotland game I would expect him to say 'we.'

Much ado about nothing again.
Can't Imagine Austin Healey or Michael Vaughan doing that in the other sports hey!
Or Gareth Thomas or Ally McCoist referring to their Home Nations as we when commentating, fucking retarded twats.

Columbia gonna do someone over in the next stages
Always loved Falcao and never understood how he couldn't do it in England.

They look very impressive in this game. A lot more composed than last time.

Don't hold back, Wingy, say it as it is.

I find this attitude pathetic tbh. We should aim to win the group and play whoever that means

Naive. We know we're already through to the last 16, now we should try to ensure the easiest route from there. If that means trying not to win the group, then do it.

You are naive. Not looking into how a loss may affect the mentality of the players and also fact that Germany and Brazil might not top their groups

I think we might struggle against these
Wouldn't cope with their tempo .

Colombia would be a very tough test indeed for England.

Being a RoI supporter, got to say I'm really enjoying the endless days of football without worring about the results.

Somehow the GF seems to have been exposed to so much football over the last week she no longer seems to realise it's even on, so have managed to watch most of it :D

Would love us to win the group and do so with a win on Thursday. However if it was the choice between drawing and coming top or drawing and finishing second due to having one more booking than the opposition I’d take second. It’s just one of those things. The players will know they haven’t missed out on top spot due to their ability. It’s just down to three different referee’s opinions. If we end up in Rostov it’s a 50 hour round trip on the train but would still take the win all day long.

Something that has crossed my mind is scoring a 93rd minute equaliser, one of the players goes metal and gets booked for the over exuberant celebrations which drops us to second. I think that’d be called “doing a Nazon”.

Can see that happening.

Think we have to set out with the mindset of winning the game. If it is 1-1 though with 20 mins left, I can see both teams settling for a draw.

The bookings thing is so hard to control, because you don't know how the ref is going to be and there's always the danger of a red instead of yellow, but yeah, if there's 2 mins left and the scores are even and we are ahead only on players bookings, I can foresee a sneaky 'throw the ball away' or time wasting incident to put us behind Belgium.

Don't understand the playing for second mentality, Iceland taught us that anyone can win the knockout stages. We look a lot more mentally ready that previously but we haven't played anyone of any class so Thursday will be the test of how ready the team is and how prepare Southgate is. Thursday has a risk of being a nothing game if both sides decide to rotate squads.

The prediction has been blown out of the water anyway - I would have said yes preferring to face Poland, Columbia are a different kettle of fish...BUT as I said previously - from what I have seen of other teams so far we shouldn't fear any of them. Just keep the momentum going...win win win

We would beat Senegal or Japan comfortably, but Columbia could be a bit trickier. Not worth worrying about - che sera, sera as they say (somewhere foreign)!

Where was the VAR there?

Uruguay player deliberately pulled the Russkie player out of the wall.
