Queued up for my season tickets today, took nearly a couple of hours altogether. Apart from current STH they were also doing tickets for those affected by the closure of the North/Telegraph stand. My advice is get there early when they go on general sale. Not sure how they'll cope with the numbers.

There was a woman wandering down the aisle asking if any had any questions. A few, including myself, questioned the reasoning behind closing the whole of the Telegraph stand, which will be rubbish when our team is attacking that end. Why not just close the top blocks and push people closer to the pitch all round? She said the main reason was that it affected least people; she said there were 1000 STH there and 6000 in the East stand. They will open the North stand only when the size of the crowd dictates.

She also said no stand has got any name yet (Lloyds Pharmacy, Telegraph, etc) as the Club could get their own sponsors for the stands.

I've ended up in Block Ten in the old away stand.

If they have a larger than 3k away following for a league game, you wonder if they'll use the North Stand as the away end.

If I sponsor it I will make it the quiet stand, where people can sit quietly reading the programmes and papers and books etc.

Looks a fair process though - existing ST holders could have their old seats or move them but only to seats not occupied by ST holders in the last season at the Ricoh so good news they are being reserved. Its all pretty manual though and no electronic tickets and with only 1 stand and a bit open, expect big turnstile queues. Other than that, great to be back.

I am guessing once the online sales are up there won't be any real issues. Can't see us selling 32k for Gillingham somehow. I'll get my season ticket once they are are online, I can't travel in week, so I'll just be patient.

No, not yet. It was taking some people say ten minutes to get there tickets while others were there 30 or more. That is ridiculous just on one customer, but everyone was patient and it wasn't the fault of those serving.

The only grumbles really were for the closure of the Telegraph, which is stupid.

You're right, not sure when that will be though, but then the ticket books will have to be posted out or collected, which will be another queue somewhere along the line.

It is excellent news that the seats held by ST holders at the Ricoh in 2012-13 are being reserved. That shows some common sense.

Why are they reverting to ticket books though? The technology must still be there and most people will still have their electronic cards from before. Can they not just reactivate them? Or do they not have access to the computer system to do it?

why so bitchy little one?

i would imagine block 14 is still gonna be the loudest, would be nice if they moved closer to away fans though, add to atmosphere perhaps.

cov just released matchday prices btw,still gonna be around 18-24 for adults, really wish they had tried something different to pack the place out, cheap tickets all season round might be asking too much i guess but if no prices went over 20 quid it might make the club look a lot more fan friendly.

There was a reason the "Away End" is where it is. The away fans were shepherded in and out of the ground through the tunnel and coaches went back to the old "Wild West" and formed a semi-circle with no gaps between the coaches, meaning away fans were put straight back on them.

I would think the telegraph being closed is based on this £5000 per stand deal that has been mentioned, I'm thinking that if there is a large away following for any reason that those with season tickets in the away end will be asked to move to the telegraph stand as I don't think the police would like the away fans at that end of the ground.

Maybe not, but I know they have moved people out of there before as I had a mate with a season ticket in 13 or 14 and he was asked to move on a couple of occasions

Strange as many on here said the club should pay more rent as its a better quality stadium.

£15 is absurd. Yeovil charge £25 on average per game. Nuneaton charge £14.

If they made it £5 quid a game, you would ask for £4 "as a gesture of goodwill"
