The negligence of some parents. We went out to eat in Brighton this evening and about 10 kids, no older than 7-8, had been left outside a Spoons while their parents were presumably inside drinking. On our way back about an hour later they were still there.

Pretty sure nobody used to do that kind of thing?

Everyone used to do it, I remember going to the coronation club with my parents and spent the evenings running round the car park with a bunch of other kids that were left outside while their parents went for a drink. Every now and then someone's parent would pop out with a few cans and some crisps. It was great tbf.

Absolutely and sleeping on chairs pushed together in a corner somewhere.

At least kids nowadays also don’t have to suffer all that cigarette smoke that we did.

Whilst there were many fictions depicted in the film, but I hate Darkest Hour portraying Elizabeth Layton as Winston Churchill's secretary in 1940.

I know there was quite a bit of artistic license during this film, but annoys the fuck out of me for some reason

Pretty sure it was far more common in the old days than it is now to be fair

How do you think those that apparently did it were able to just whip up a mini tornado above the boat?

They didn't, that's the freak accident, assuming the Yacht wasn't sabotaged.

You can't tell me that 2 people in different parts of the world are killed, that also know each other and are part of some high end trial, isn't in the millions to 1 odds?

You’ve just said yourself that one of them was a freak accident, so how can it be some kind of conspiracy? If it was some sort of dark hit and run, I doubt the driver would stop and assist police either.

Assuming that it's the mini tornado that's capsized the Yacht yeah it is a freak accident.

Come on 🤣 two people who are in the same trial are killed/involved in 2 accidents within hours of each other? If it was months apart, I'd say yeah maybe it's just unlucky.

Where the road accident happened looks quite rural too, so less chances of actually being hit by a car than in a city.

One of the good things about waiting outside pubs is that they often sold Coca Cola in glass bottles, the best way to drink it
Yeah i think everyone got told to wait outside the pub with a bottle of Coke and a bag of cheese and onion while the parents had a drink. Kids weren't allowed in pubs in "our day". Not till all hours, mind

The boat had a broken window, which had been reported a couple of days before but not fixed. I’m pretty sure I read that a door to the engine room had been left open as well.

I can’t see HP taking out a contract on them to be honest. Nor do I think the hypothetical middle-aged hit woman would stop and assist police after assassinating her victim.

Who actually really cares that much about this yacht story? Of course it is sad for the families involved, but it seems very over shared in the media. There's been some massive stories recently that have slipped off the radar (pardon the pun), but this one has been top page BBC for a week or so. Along with what Kamala Harris and Andrew Tate have had for breakfast.

The media really are toxic.

Lily Allen.

Claims to be all about 'compassion' and tries to take the moral high ground on the regular. Like most people who claim to be this, she is a complete and utter hypocrite - and not a very nice person. Gave away her dog because it essentially had a small accident in the house. Vile woman.
Absolutely detest her.

My mum’s battle with Alzheimer’s I feel robbed every day of a formidable woman who was family orientated , hard working, caring don’t get me wrong if she took a dislike to you that was it . But now she doesn’t even remember my dad passing away she thinks he is running her sisters pub while she’s on holiday and although I feel rotten losing to her I’ve told her dads passed every day since March and but sometimes it’s easier to go along with what she thinks . Sometimes I get so frustrated with the pressures of life in general and her issues that I’d prefer to go for a run then stay in the house . The. I feel I’m a bad son , I also have a wife and daughter ( my wife lost her dad the week before my dad died ) and my daughter has lost 2 grandads in a week . But my mums decline has taken over our grieving

sorry if this sounds wanky and woe is me it’s not supposed to , it just gets me every now and then

You’re not a bad son mate. Don’t ever think that. Alzheimer’s is an absolute c**t of a disease that takes its toll on everyone involved. From what you’ve said you’ve done more than most and are doing your absolute best.

Saw my Mum go through it with my grandad when I was younger, wouldn’t wish it on anyone. The difference when he went and the guilt that came with realising that as well. Genuinely don’t think there’s a worse disease to care for.

Just remember you can’t give from an empty cup, it’s clear you’re doing all the right things for others. Make sure you keep a little back for yourself and never feel guilty for taking it.

good luck bud.

Well that puts my annoyance into perspective. I was going to gripe about the five chip shops in Banbury I just visited that were all closed! Signs up saying gone in holiday, selfish buggers!

Doesn’t sound wanky & woe to me Daz.

Daz don’t ever feel like that - the love you give her is part of your memory - alzshitbag is a robber of life’s memories but not for you - she did what she did for you and you repaid her with your thoughts that you weren’t doing the right thing but you were - look after your family - she just can’t unlock her love and memories
Any more

People complaining about bus and bike only lanes and the fact it’s “made traffic ten times worse”.

Yeh that’s the point you silly c**t now get on a bike or bus, or suck it up while you wait for everyone else to make the transition
