Common sense, mine don't seem to want to speak to anybody unless it's 8AM.

Sack all of the receptionists who are usually pricks anyway and replace them with AI who can work 24/7 to do simple things like make appointments and call people through to doctors rooms.
Always use Econsult for our surgery. Fill in my details and symptoms and doc rings back within 48hrs. Last time was for my buggered knee. He rang back having arranged an X-ray then when he had the results I opted for a full replacement and chose my hospital. From results to the operating table was 10 weeks. Had a similar situation last year with my hip. That took only 9 weeks for the op. No issues here with the Oxfordshire hospital Trust. Not sure why it doesn’t work in some Trust areas and well in others.

I found something on the NHS website for my surgery like that so I tried it, I put in the issue etc into the form.

All that happened was I got a text from them saying "please call reception at 8am to make an appointment" which kind of made the whole thing pointless.

If that went in and got a call back from a doctor I wouldn't have an issue.

Would like to thank everyone who does this to make it so easy to stand out and get promoted at work.
That would be nice. I seem to be surrounded by people who do fuck all and the only thing that seems to happen is their work gets passed to me. They fuck off at 5:30 and I'm here for hours getting everything done :mad:

Was the same in my last job, the work got done so no issue was seen. Even when pointed out that some people did barely nothing for all of their shift and just left it for others to pick up. I even made a dashboard which showed a few metrics of what people did (ticket replies, ticket closures, average tickets per day assigned to each person) and there were some people doing 1 or 2 tickets and others doing 50-60. (I get that some might be trickier so take longer). When brought it up it was "oh they aren't as quick as you" so they were defended.....bye then.

Get a new job and they will soon realise.

tbh I've changed jobs twice to try and get away from this and ended up with the same problem, if not worse.

If you aren't getting any reward why bother? just work at the same pace as everyone else.

Slow down a bit then and go at 5 when everybody else does.
Take a lunch break every day away from the desk.

If it's acceptable for everybody else to do 5% of tickets then you do 5% and see what happens.

They probably see you as a workhorse. At this point, they're taking advantage of your hard work and personality. I wouldn't bother and just start working at the same pace as others. It's not like they can single you out for slacking when everyone else is doing the same.

Exactly.

If everybody has the same job title, pay etc then just do whatever they are doing.

Exactly how I feel atm, I've effectively been manager of where I am for the last 6 months or more without the pay or a pay rise. Everyone around me and customers recognise it, but not the head office which is 40 miles away. Always doing the numbers though 🙄🤦‍♂️

If you aren't being paid for it or promoted then are you just the same level as everybody else? Just do the same as what they do.

I'm assistant manager, but out of a team of 5 I've been there the longest. Everyone else is new to the business (as in 4 months the longest to 2 months) and I know the processes of everything 🙄 My biggest gripe is I've not had a pay rise in 2 years, yet I'm training 4 people including the new manager 🙃🤣

Yeah I'd probably ask why you're training somebody getting paid more than you.

Traffic again.

Every major road has roadworks from Longford. Holbrook's, keresley, coundon. They must be on day rate as well because fuck all seems to be getting done.

Longford road is standstill from the M6 right up to the blue ribbon roundabout. Try to go the back way, shock there's roadworks there with nobody doing anything.

gone through 5 sets of temporary lights on the commute this morning. not seen a single worker or any sign of work being done.

its like they've just decided to cone off random roads but aren't actually doing anything. some of them have been there for days and theres nothing to indicate any work has taken place.

Same in Longford and Holbrooks. Been there for days, traffic lights and just left.

Longford road is bad because of ambulances that need to get through and can't.

It's in motion, unfortunately the attitude atm seems to be the company is struggling.

Ironically, if I left tomorrow the turnover/sales would probably drop 50%, so enjoy saving the extra £5k or whatever they don't wanna pay 👍🙃🤣

Does interest me that people make money basically just chatting shit that you could hear at the pub or with your own mates. Where do we sign up?

An SBT podcast! Great idea! Someone told me recently i’m my own podcast, the amount of wittering on I do. I was also recently described as garrulous. I think could definitely put myself in this thread, or at least others could…
