We've never really gotten anywhere with new chants at Coventry and are stuck with the typical old ones or some of the most cringe-worthy rival chants around.

Was just thinking about something really really simple, a play on the England Cricket Teams chant.

"Who we are,
Where we come from.
We are the City,
The mighty mighty City.
We are the army.
Thorny's Sky Blue Army."

Then just end with the 'Sky Blue Army, Sky Blue Army'

Here's the Barmy Army chant by the way.

Well, that's the end of that one then lol.

Can't say I can hear it in block 22 though......at least I know there's a base for it to possibly catch on around the ground though.

Sung all the time and it's shite, as for new chants last season we had two? Away, Away, Away and Take me Home Highfield Road

Running the risk of a hate brigade being started against me I have to say these chants honestly cannot be heard 7 blocks away. No wonder other teams say we have no atmosphere :(

Surely it's a Ricoh thing.....I'd be the first to catch on to new songs back at HR.

We started sing... "we love you, we love you, we love you...." at leicester away last season which id like to hear alot more of, i thinks its a great chant.

I also like the new marlon king song that some lads were singing at the boro a few weeks ago.

With songs like this in our repertoire no wonder we're classed as Chaventry. We used to be a family club with a family stand and a great atmosphere, now we sing things like this and actually think it's clever......

I reckon that would be great, I think if it was a slow kenn duuliu rather than 2 delieu's as it sounds a bit ringy ish IMO

I remember making my way to Highfield Rd with a mate when I was young, I turned the corner and there was this small shop on one of the side streets and there were punches and scalves flying everywhere (we were playing Birmingham) and this copper on horse belted past me and sent me nearly flying.

Family club ? Family stand ? we still are and still have those principles, but you shouldn't make out that back in the day it wasn't like this. I recently walked home with my old man after we'd lost and he said years ago he didn't mind losing because at least you might see a good punch-up afterwads !!

No he's not a hooligan he's mid- 50s' and works his ass off, he's just honest and talks honestly rather than trying to make out things are wrong in modern days.

Would you rather swap this mindless chanting for some of the fighting that was seen in your day ?

Because to me there seems to be less troube nowadays ?

but he is one of our best defenders and the only one which goes strong to a challenge not half hearted
