Nice to see you back, you've been awfully quiet since your council mates showed their true colours.

Not quiet, just not arsed posting so much in this latest shitstorm. Peoples opinions are formed, battle lines are drawn, there doesn't seem much point. I just can't give as much of a shit about rugby as I do CCFC.

For what it's worth I think all this crap stems from the decision to break the lease and only one party is responsible for that. CCC aren't charged with the wellbeing of CCFC no matter what we'd like, that's Sisus job. CCC are responsible for the wellbeing of the citizens of Coventry and on that front the Wasps deal was always going to be better than waiting around for Sisu. It will bring jobs and recognition to the City whether we like it or not.

Am I happy that my club seems headed for Leagie Two status and some tinpot out of town stadium? Hell no! But the only people I blame for that are those actually charged with choosing the direction of the club.

Much like a Pressley press conference, it's always someone else's fault. Sorry the buck stops with the owners.

But we need them to show us they care much as we do.
Gregg Downs was former player on the radio now no matter how you feel he was as a player, he gave a fuck and gave his all that is the difference.
Shame we haven't got a few more like him in our team.

You can see sepala loading the club with all sisus debt in the next couple of weeks and winding the club up....

Why would she do that? She has more days in court yet. Also if it's true that the club is no longer making a loss there is no benefit in winding up

I understand that but if the whole portfolio was just ccfc they would have a lot of pissed off investors. Sisu are probably still making money for themselves and investors in other schemes. So again what have they risked exactly. They just haven't made as much money as they hoped.

What a load of tosh. If you don't understand business why post about it?

We may as well just shut thr club down. A section of out support don't deserve a football club and anyway, they have Wasps to watch now.

The club under current ownership doesn't deserve our support, but they will still get it.

Gregg Downs was great while wearing the shirt and great on the radio yesterday. He was the only thing stopping me from switching it off.

I remember his first ever game for us. When he ran out we thought we had signed an old bloke. And one of his first touches was when he went for a high ball just to have it skid off the top of his head and give them a chance. But as the match went on he got into the game. Good player for us.

A fans favorite and even had his own song :)

They haven't said they are not making a loss, merely that the cash that has come in so far, is more than the cash that has gone out. I would imagine this means they are making a loss, but haven't paid out the cash on costs such as interest on loans.

He was still shit though.

No he wasn't, he put some great crosses in from the left, when he was playing for us with Bugsy, killer and peake, one nil to the Arsenal were the only team to have a better defensive record can't remember the year but it was a tight arse defence

That's not what TF said.
TF only said we were cashflow positive.

Indeed, that man is pretty good at representing the situation as much better than it really is.

I don't know for sure, but I think this season club will make a loss.

I think crowds will be ~1000 below what they'll have been budgeted.

Well that is my gut feeling.

Although tbf, that is his job!

But yes, we can be cashflow positive when the money from Wilson comes in, and then when a few season tickets are sold... or 27k for Gillingham.

Doesn't mean all is rosy long term!

It males you wonder if the strategy for now is keeping fingers crossed that a Maddison or two will generate a bit of cash for them, whilst continuing to downgrade the team/use loans all the time. However, this only makes sense to me if this is the short term position until a stadium is built (I know, don't laugh). If they don't intend to do that, then I cannot see what their plan is - unless they can persuade Wasps to take us over - though can't see Wasps coughing up much/enough for CCFC at the moment. Hopefully Wasps might see a sporing collabarative as suiting both parties? Confused, but can't work ouf what SISU's plan now is.

Yep - spot on. I bet they were cash positive when they weren't paying rent too! Accounts however, paint a different picture. Suspect that's why SPs 4 year contract is safe (ish), as any payout might affect this somewhat!!

TF's Calimere Point advisors actually published that strategy on a web site, taken down when they realised the fans had found it, LOL.
