You’re a lovely chap ain’t you?

The quality drop off of the following is huge:

Moore > Wilson
JCS > Drysdale
Fadz > Pask
Maatsen > Reid
O’Hare > Bright

I think you’re massively doing down the former if you disagree.
An injury to Viktor was have a seriously impact on us too.

Sheffield Uniteds main goal threat is 35 yr old Billy Sharp. At that age, the question will be how well they plan his rest periods as he's not going to be able to do a full season.

Bournemouth have a bigger squad than most of the league so I expect them to be top 3. And they seem to be able to spend money when they need to, even though they dropped down from the Prem with £80 million debt.

WBA have the money though their fans comment regularly that they're skint. They're playing the only way their manager knows, long balls and set pieces. A good half of this league plays the same way so they have a good chance of playoffs.

Fulham.... flattering to deceive. Thought they'd be much stronger than they have been. Big squad, seem to have a transfer fund to be jealous of. Top 6 but I wouldn't expect anything explosive.

Us ? We'll be safe and anything up to 7th place would be amazing. I actually do fear us being promoted as we are so underweight, we'd be easy targets for all the existing Prem teams. This should be another year of consolidation and improvement. If we can keep everyone together, next season should see the push to get promoted.

And this is where I think things will change for the better. Seeing Joy at the game yesterday (Sky fixated on showing Fishy and she was sat next to him), I've never seen her so happy including after the cup win and the playoff final. I hope/think Robins hasn't just changed the fortunes of the team but also changed Joy's opinion of the club.
Won’t change the repeating process but can’t be a bad thing for her to come and be entertained

😬

Bright can’t even perform at U23 level, hell of an ask to expect him to perform like O’Hare at the top end of the Championship.
Well actually when he's played at u23 he's scored or assisted so that's not true.

We have already seen him play at league 1. Imo he has the talent to do it in championship. Wether he has attitude is a different question though

And let's not get started on Wilson.

If anyone is interested in the opinion of fans of the relegated teams. I have a mate who supports WBA and a mate who supports Sheffield Utd.
Sheffield Utd fan thinks they've fucked it unless they have a big Jan.
WBA fan, despite what some are saying above about them having a good squad, thinks they should go up but only if first 11 stays fit, says the drop off after that is massive. Also says the owner has no interest, which is good for us I guess.

AMC Bright or Allen

Gk Ben wilson
Allen yes.

Bringing Bright in would be a massive change in team dynamic.

We wouldn't be winning the ball back and pressing with Bright in team. Hes a luxury player who needs to be at the top of his game before he even gets a sniff.

Their squad isnt a patch on their previous squad when they went up.

They Harvey Barnes and Dwight Gayle smashing goals in for fun 2 years ago.

IDK but if it's next year we aim at it could be without 3 of the current crew

Exactly. They should be near the top let's be honest but they aren't all that. Poorest relegated 3 in a while, this is the season the gate has creaked open for us

Its attitude that’s his issue according to Robins.

It would certainly change our style of play. Though in terms of quality I think Godden and Walker are decent reserves. Ideal world we’d let one go and get another big strong ST in for balance.

Hi all. Yes am still alive 😁 Have had an unbelievable 16 months of shite but not alone in the times we are in.

And this is the point. 100m bounty. Punching above our weight. Whatever your thoughts are SISU have continued to fund us to keep their investment alive. Now the dream for them could happen. We have cost them on average 1m to 2m a season to keep us going. Now we are back home. It is paying dividends. But just 3m approx more than before gives us a massive 4m extra budget. Unexpected big crowds may cut down the outlay. A small outlay considering the bounty on offer. A gamblers paradise.

Wouldn't surprise me if Robins was given a few quid to give it a go next transfer window. No sales unless an unbelievable offer comes in. But what player would want to leave what is happening now? Would have to be to a decent club or a massive payrise. Speculate to accumulate.

I am a small time gambler. Long odds big chance of winning. SISU? They are now in the box. All I now hear is how much each player is worth. The gamble? Take 10m for our best players against 100m + reaching the Premier and maybe even staying for a season or two.

Forget about ideal world. More than half the teams below us would have them playing. Just shows us how much we have advanced. We need decent reserves. And we have them. Why would we let them go?

That's a bit harsh ..I think he means squad depth cover.

We are never gonna be able to have like fir like 2nd X1. Impossible.

But I do like the idea getting an experienced versatile player in. Who is left sided.

Kanes been versatile but we will find Dabo is more versatile and will likely play LWB vs Blackburn.
We need two maybe three in for squad depth, particularly defensively. But he just posts endless drivel constantly

I don’t care about being a lovely chap. You post endless drivel. Yesterday you said Godden and Kelly were league one level on the match thread, utterly ridiculous

As I said: for balance. We’ve really got one good target man and three who can play off him. In an ideal world we’d have two of each. It’s not a massive thing, as I say we’d just have to adapt our style a bit.

You’d get rid of Kelly and Godden wouldn’t you? This is what you said about them at half time yesterday:
‘Him and Kelly really showing why we’ve progressed beyond them. Kelly’s passing and Goddens pace just not at the right level.’

In an ideal world we would already be in the Prem.

Why can't anyone enjoy what is happening? You could pump 60m into your project and still fail. Yes we have a gap in *** and would also be better if we had *******. But name me a team that couldn't be improved

Than 4 options, why buy anybody then? We are truly blessed.
I never said we had to buy anyone, just that we don't have anyone who can adequate replace him, I.e. pace, hold up play, ball carrying ability, which aside from the goals has been integral in the way we have played this season.

As a typical football fan after Luton I was in the wheels have come off camp, after Fulham we are going up camp. Realistically we could finish anywhere in this league (although relegation is extremely unlikely) and it is too soon to get over excited. If we can keep it going at home and improve our away form, who knows? I am just enjoying whats happing at the moment. One of the great joys at the moment, after watching the match, is to go through the match threads and see the reaction when we go a goal down to the reaction when we are winning. Of course, we still sing when we are not winning.

How many sides have more than 1 top target man in this division? We are lucky to have 1
