What would it then be worth to sell on? SISU are not long term investors.
No evidence then - you made it up - fair enough
So you don't pay tax?
Do you class you me and 20-30 k Cov fans as a shred of evidence.
Do you care about Cov or pound land ?
Case closed
I do pay tax and couldn't give a stuff.
Do a survey and ask you'd just get blank and disenterested looks as 90% of the taxpayers see no benefit or use of it whatsoever. Ask about giving £14million in loans to help save a management company and I think the emotions may run higher.

In all seriousness, invoking the general taxpayer is probably a dangerous argument.
Presented as 'here's £10mil that can stop us cutting so hard in health and schools, and keep people in jobs' and I suspect the general tax payer would be in danger of biting SISU's hand off...
All redundant anyway, as council consultation is inevitably done after the decision's made, anyway!
You and every other Cov fan who pays taxes in Coventry contacts the council and says.
I don't think you should sell the Ricoh to SISU until they return to Coventry rent free first.
As Grendel rightly points out most people won't be interested so Cov fans will be the loudest voice.
So you've surveyed this have you? Try surveying this - Council gets £6million pounds to use to stop job losses.

A brand new 15,000 stadium in say Meriden. Cost 25 million pounds.
The 32,000 seater in Coventry - £6 million pounds. Yeah right. Let's just give it away to Sisu. Not.
Makes perfect sense doesn't it.
Or lets say - spend that £25 million pounds on that new stadium, say Bedworth. OR spend approximately £300,000 a year at the Ricoh. Negotiate and buy into the pies and beer.
In 20 years you'll have spent about £6 million pounds on the Ricoh. You do the long term sums.
I think most people have now done the figures.
The ones that have not are the ones that keep saying "but we have not got access to the food and beverages"
I also think that this is why most people don't think Sisue will build a new stadium because they will pay more for less.
They need the Ricoh to have any chance of getting money back, unfortunately ACL/CCC know this.
Obviously as Coventry fans we would like to get the Ricoh owned by the club for nothing and CCC/ACL are easy targets to have a go at, particularly propaganda fed by Sisue.
But realistically it will never be owned by the club unless it is gifted by CCC and that undoubtedly would cause problems with fair competition rules.
I believe that the club may need to be liquidated to get it back.
NOPM
The argument goes that if SISU spend £25M on a stadium but get some partner to fund half that they end up with an additional £12.5M debt, but an additional asset worth £25M and thereby enhance the sale value of the club. It is still a losing position, but one that is not so bad as presently.
However, isn't this just what the council did with the money they put into the Arena, making them more successful at that game than SISU, to date.. and also if SISU reckon that the cost to build a stadium transforms into asset on the balence sheet, why doesn't the same argument apply to the Ricoh?

£12.5M. + £9m.- £12- £15M. losses from the term spent In Northampton
Then the added value on top that a stadium as good as the Ricoh has
Starting bid of 60 million I would guess.

No these costs are far higher
Don't be silly. This is SUESUE we are talking about. The opening offer will be 60 quid.
Wow don has access to the valuation and its £60 million. Do you have a source?
The point of NOPM is being lost in this suggestion - muddled thinking.
SISU will return the club to Coventry under only one condition - that they can make an awful lot of money by doing so. And their current strategy to get this jackpot is to obtain the Ricoh and surrounding land at a bargain basement price.
They will continue with no holds barred until funding runs out. SISU will be relentless - they pride themselves on this quality. Every legal recourse will be tried. They are prepared to do almost anything. And on and on and on they will go until either they win or their investors tell them to stop. They are happy to write off the lost revenue of NOPM as a necessary evil to achieve this goal.
The question for NOPMites should be: do I want to help to fund an organisation that behaves like this? Do I want to enable them to keep going for longer - to give them more time to cripple ACL?
I tend to agree that NOPM in isolation may not work - SISU has deep pockets. And if it does, it is certainly not going to work in six months, this could go on for years... but it's all we have.

I have a hypothesis to consider. Now, I know there is a risk this will descend into the normal name calling but I am putting it out for discussion (I'm sure someone else once mentioned it actually)
NOPM will not work - gates are lower than expected, an apparent "improved" offer to return is rejected and not even offered directly.
Sisu resent the councils clumsy attempts to remove them, ACL and the council clearly despise the current owners.
We are no nearer to returning than on day one.
So, what can be done? We could be looking at this from the wrong angle. We are in Northampton but do the local public even know we are there?
Imagine if we did regularly get a full house there? Imagine if it was over subscribed? No parking, public transport and railway station full every other week. Regular escorts of fans from town ino the stadium. Suddenly to the non football fans in the community we become a nuisance and the community in turn will pressurise their council and club to end the deal. In turn this would make ground share in other towns difficult.
It's high risk but something has to be done. Other strategies are failing. Noisy protests could also continue in the ground itself.
Back on planet earth this will of course not happen but if it had from the start and it proved legistucally impossible to hold the games with general disturbance issues it may have had a more positive effect than the doomed NOPM campaign.
SUESUE don't have everlasting deep pockets. They have investors pockets. These deep pockets dry up once their investors pockets take their money elsewhere. How much longer will these investors be happy to lose millions through Joy's visions? They have done poorly for a few years now. There are much better places to put your money.

Anything started by you will be Rubbish
No one takes you seriously.
I mooted this idea a few weeks ago.. rejected without anyone giving it any real thought. I've said I will only go to Northampton to be part of such a plan... you're right, nothing is really working, nothing has changed...
As with all your posts -- utterly unfounded and speculative
Are you new? I cannot recall a single post you've made - do normally post on off topic threads?
