Thing is there are all sorts of stats out there that you can use to compare where we were, where we are and where we could have been. They are interesting in a way because they do show both the amount of progress that have been made and just how bad we were at one point. I think we need to remember that the run under Shaw put us at a serious disadvantage this season. If anything prevents us from going into the play-offs this season, that would be one of the main factors. I think the OP is right. Whilst we may have moved on, that table reveals one of the key reasons we're not up there challenging right at the top. But it's a real credit to Robins that we're in any contention of a play-off place despite that table shown. That, to me, is a frustration, because it means we may end the season asking "what could have happened?".
Having said that, the only statistic that really matters to me, personally, is the one that says how many points we have amassed after the last game of the season. If we get the points we need to reach the play-offs, and go on to win the play-offs, it, of course, all becomes irrelevant. If we come up short, we at least know the areas we can pinpoint and say "that cost us horribly this season".
