Eastwood meeting anyone from a supporter's group is not a good sign as it can only mean a bit of PR work from Wasps side and then the inevitable question then is why it would be needed? If successful talks were ongoing it would be all the PR needed and that could be said in a public statement. There's no games left at the Ricoh so they can't be worried about further protests either. Worrying.

Who? The guy with the Glazepta retro shirt?
Nah, that was one off here (although potentially PSB too? They can confirm or deny if they want to!). There was another chap with a well cut hair, dark beard, had a young lad of about 9-10 with him?

Tell you one thing though, I'm embarrassed by the turnout. I'd hoped there'd at least be enough that I could go to a Trust meeting and say 'see? This is what we got with no support, think what we could get *with* your support!' Not even sure I can do that on the back of Saturday!

I mean, I appreciate you have to put the best spin on it, but I'm not convinced I'd want ownership of that protest *really* as PSB group seem to be going for ;) And even less, if I'd claimed 90-odd would turn up and got one, two maybe from my side of it all... having abandoned whatever protest they were going to do originally. That all takes some brass neck. At least here we were under no illusions it was going to be small, futile, and potentially counter-productive!

So... they're welcome to ownership :) It would just be nice if there were some kind of collective, along the lines pushed that we all stand or fall together.

Anyway, I've met enough people in the past who've tried to influence my opinion, that I reckon in future I'd only do it if there was a job offer coming from it ;)

Yeah I know he’s off here - he told me his name - they were a couple of blokes who wouldn’t engage so I thought fuck you then - one bloke had a black and white shirt on which o couldn’t work out at all

edgy's already said he was too shy to say hello without a beer, so there's one extra... somewhere.

I have actually met edgy, in Bristol I think after / before the cup game a few years back(?) but I was far too drunk then to have a clue who he is now!

Course it is, there's desperation in the air and surprisingly considering the circumstances it isn't coming from the club "side".

Gilbert randomly going off on one with stuff like this shows that:

He really is just repeating stuff without doing any real research

Just seen it on their twitter feed. Met lots of people on Saturday (all posters on here) and I may have met someone from PSB but they didn’t introduce themselves as being from PSB so I too have no idea who’s behind them. I’m sure they’ll know or know someone who knows BHSB as he’s a prominent supporter of the club and a familiar face of all the protests so I hope they have the decency to at least take BHSB with them. Assuming that he wants to go of course.

I know who is behind PSB

I did mention Brandon on another thread.
Brandon was looked at before wasn't it? Back when Fisher was spouting off and CBRE were involved.

Don't think the club ever outright announced anything but seem to recall Rugby council confirmed it had been spoken about, CBRE said a deal had been agreed with the landowner which the landowner then confirmed but wouldn't confirm it was the club. Something along those lines. It then all fell apart and shortly after was the meeting where Fisher stated the stadium had to be in an area that meant Coventry Council would not be involved in anyway (assume they would be involved with Brandon as access would be via the bypass).

Pretty sure I haven't imagined all that!

Are there plans for the Ricoh pitch to become a hybrid? Not just the current mud/sand hybrid they have turned it into!
Gypsy Illegal camping ground if EC finds against the Council & Wasps

No. Seems like a standard explainer thread that you’ve have to be a bit mental to view as anything else.

But you do you.
If Gilbert had written something like this would he have been wrong then? -

Isn’t this complaint is against the council, not Wasps?
It is yes and Wasps will only be financially impacted if the EU find that the Council breached EU law.

So why won’t Wasps talk?
Good question. Their reason for breaking off talks referred to ceasing 'proceedings surrounding (the) acquisition and ownership of the Ricoh Arena' which they had not mentioned previously.
The club confirmed SISU had 'signed an undertaking to irrevocably cease all proceedings against Wasps relating to the sale and lease of the Ricoh Arena', seemingly meeting Wasps pre-requisite.

Has Gilbert mentioned that SISU signed that?

I'm not on Twitter so wouldn't know, but if he hasn't, does he think the club's statement was a lie?

I had a quick look but I can't see him mentioning that anywhere.

Maybe it doesn't fit? Surely if you are doing a recap you include that?

As I have said to him many times before, he just replies "I give people information and let them make their own minds up".

I think it's been said a couple of times in the thread, but this week is hugely important for the Club.

As it stands the Club needs to seal a Groundshare agreement as the Ricoh doesn't appear to be an option.

A couple of posts re the Wasps offer to meet PSB - can't really see the point of it, it doesn't benefit talks between CCFC and Wasps, but it is good PR for Wasps.

Simon Gilbert can get in the bin as well, his tweets are very one sided - his tweet re Wasps finances and the impact the EC complaint could have are exaggerated, what Simon should remember is that should Wasps suffer financially from any claim that SISU make, which put them under more financial pressure, this is partly due to their own making. Wasps are a club with huge debt, something of their own doing, not something CCFC/SISU would impact.

Who? The guy with the Glazepta retro shirt?
That was me - and grendel i did speak to you! (not well cut hair! - needs a trim yes!) the protest was first mentioned here. I joined the PSB group chat as I also follow them on twitter so was interested to see what their organisation was to be....
As I have said on here, by the looks of it, a lot indicated interest, but ALL i spoke to were SBT. Tried to find the guy who was sending out the messages late on but could not.
They did say on a message that they have contact with Dave Boddy and he was worried about pitch invasions - I asked the question if that hinted that talks were still going on? No reply - but then things came out later suggesting (if you want to believe) they they were.....

Editor of the Telegraph does the same, completely ignoring the fact that there's still people that assume everything in the CT is factually correct. There's people that don't even read the articles they will just throw things at you that were headlines. Surely if journalists are doing nothing but presenting information freely available to everyone they might as well all quit.

I dont get why Richardson would be meeting them if talks were ongoing

It is telling that he just refers to the court case for everything, did Duggins write that one for him? He never did reply when questioned the other day, bloke has no idea what's gone on.

Maybe they aren't going his way and he wants to get some more pressure going?

Let's not forget the Wasps bloke almost telling people to protest about SISU not so long ago.

a bit of PR.
Was probably hoping it went tits up Saturday in terms of behaviour. Now it's made the media about how civilised it all was he needs to get in on the I feel for the City support act.

Yeah, you're not the one with the flag ;)

FWIW, any concern about a protest is exactly why a protest needs to happen. None of this distraction, listening to inside information. Instead, you see what's publicly available. The public stuff can't be manipulated.

No, not the one with the flag - but yes, the one with Glazepta shirt on! Certainly not part of PSB but do follow on twitter!
