You can email him the promises that sisu make that they don't keep. That will leave him screwed as well. As that will be the real cause of our downfall again. They admitted our squad was too thin. They admitted this was the main cause of relegation. Count the players that go out this summer. Count the players that come in and compare the quality. Then judge AT.

Well, it's a depressing forum. People gaze into their crystal balls and tell you how crap things will be. People quoting Thorn on things he said months previously. Posters do the same on here too, quoting stuff that was said previously. What summed it up for me was a PM I received from someone I won't mention, which said (and I quote): "Ha! You were wrong and I was right, told you we would be relegated!!!"

When people seem happy because they've got one over on you, depste being relegated to the third tier for the first time in 50 years, then you seriously begin to think that maybe the whole forum thing isn't really what it should be.

That's why I'm touchy.

I was saying he was being ever so slightly tongue in cheek. The smiley face was also a bit of a clue.

And as for your PM. All I would say is, look back at the posts and threads and see how many posters were on here who had been saying we were going down actually said "told you so" at the end of the season.

Hardly anyone at all. I know I didn't. Could have so easily been a queue of people lining up saying they were proved right. Think pretty much everyone showed extreme restraint.

None of us wanted to be proved right.

transfer embargo, rent not paid and best 4 players from a lightweight relegated squad left or about to leave.

This forum is making me suicidal! Your all really depressing. I think this post is a bit 'tongue in cheek' however I wouldn't put it past people turning on thorn before the season starts because he won't say we will walk the league

I cant ever see what Bell has done while playing for us he's just a passenger,Baker has shown glimpses when he's fit,Cant comment on wood as I cant remember when he last played? Does anyone know? and o'donovan well cows arse and banjo spring to mind!!!

We can't afford to pay wages of any injury prone players.

I think we need to get shot of them (Wood, McPake & Bell) their records are terrible. We need very stringent medicals on any players that come in the next window (if any do, obviously!).

Damn it Sir!! I used to think Take That records were terrible but I wouldn't have had them shot!!


(Well maybe Robbie Williams......... but ONLY Robbie Williams. The others would have just got a stern warning!)

As I have said on many many occasions my view is Thorn is not up to the job and now expectations will be raised this will inevitably add a new dimension. He will not be able to hide behind lack of investment with a half a million pound striker and players on 2 to 3 times the average League One wage.

However, we have to logically assume he is going to be in charge next season as SISU look likely to remain. So we are going to have to accept that. We need to start the season well so everyone will have to get behind the team and the manager (whatever the reservations). My impression is he seems to work well with younger players who seem to enjoy playing for him but struggles with the senior established squad members. If he is going to sign 4 or 5 players next season the hope is they will be people who will want to work with him.

I'm not ''blindly optimistic'', just think we should lay off Thorn considering the season is still three months away.
