Been away for 2 weeks. Presumed that thorn now having a few people back from injury and having a nearly ok subs bench coinciding with cov getting a couple of good results may have put this thorn debate to bed, clearly not. It seems quite clear to me that he is a decent manager. The squad has too many inexperienced players. When he has a nearly fit 15 he does ok. The squad needs 2 more quality players and 3 championship standard ones. I know we may not be able to afford that. However in my book without it for thorn to have us in with a realistic chance of avoiding relegation he is doing a great job.

would you consider the idea that thorn is the same but players have returned from injury.

Twas a joke.

I would say Thorn was about 20% to blame, Sisu 65% to blame and the players 15% to blame. These last few games I would say Thorn is zero% to blame. He seems to be getting things spot-on of late and long may that continue!!

Not so sure about the players coming back from injury, possibly more to do with David Bell staying out injured!!

Há há, poor Bell i would still prefer to have him on the bench than an unready sixteen year old :)

Yeah right. So people have taken odds that didn't exist? We have not been favourites all season, but when not favourites we have been close to it. 4 teams are now less than evens. I suppose you can get better than that though considering only 3 teams go down

I know it's early but I've read that twice now and don't really get your point?

You clearly don't believe that anyone got Cov at 5/2 to go down before the season started - you are wrong. You stated that Cov were odds on to go down at the start of the season - you are wrong.

Here is an audit trail of Cov's odds on relegation with many major bookmakers. As you can see on the first day of the season we were generally 7/4 and didn't really go odds on until November.

Very accurate site I see. They only have latest odds for relegation on Betfair. Can't even get this right. Have us down as 33/50, which is 1.66

Unsure who is arguing on what side and can't be bothered to trawl back through the posts, but here are the facts:

Best price (and Betfair is the best indicator you will find for a moving price as anything liquid is arb'd) was 11/4 (matched for £12). We opened at around 5/4 and lengthened when Marlon was on the verge of signing. From then in it was a steady to fall to 1.15 (approx 1/7) until our recent upturn in form.

Hope this helps.
