trying to stay positive as results went our way today but what an opportunity wasted to shed some light between us and the teams below us! Thought Maddison had the worst game ive seen him have today, the back 5 were playing some ridiculous passes which didnt help the cause. 1st half the effort wasn't there where as 2nd half there was more effort but less quality on the pitch.
Credit to Pressley he packed the middle and restricted our front 4, he also played 3 up top all game which worked for them. Every goal kick Fleetwood had they suckered our most advanced players on the edge of their box so their keeper could kick it wide, win a knock down and get lots of room in our half - disappointed Mowbray didnt pick up on this.
Again, walked out the ground very pissed off today as we had to win this game to have nay chance of competing for the autos, we will be very lucky to make playoffs if we see our players put in such little effort like in the first half for the rest of the season. Does anyone else think the 2 weeks off made us rusty at all and maybe overconfident after the big win vs bury?
