Hi guys, apologies for the cross-posting. I’m desperately trying to get hold of 1 ticket for the game tomorrow. It’s for a kid but will happily pay for any ticket type. Ordinarily be fine to get hold of tickets on general release but didn’t think he’d be with us so didn’t get one. Happy to pay, drive and collect tonight.

Just bumping this up in case of any last minute drop outs, still on the lookout for 1 ticket if there’s a ticket fairy out there! :)

Our game is off this afternoon-managed to get 2 in the home end. Just register as a new customer and it’s a digital ticket 👍

Yeah, it’s borne out of necessity. Sitting on your hands trying not to draw attention. Never seemed to bother those Man Utd, Liverpool fans etc that’d turn up when we were in the prem!

Having said that, I believe there never used to be a need for fan segregation.

I remember going to a rearranged Newcastle game up at St James Park in the 90s. Original game was postponed and the changed fixture was during the time they were rebuilding the Gallowgate end and refused entry to away fans. Couple of dozen Cov went up to challenge Newcastle as our tickets said valid for rearranged games. Most of the gang I went with got comps from the players. I missed out and had to buy a ticket from a tout (bartered him down from £30 to £15 for a £10 ticket). Have said I like to chat to other fans and this time, I ended up on my own in amongst the Newcastle fans. Had a great time even though we lost 4-0. Saw other Cov sprinkled around but they all had their heads down, trying to avoid attention.

If you go in and act up, locals won't like it. Behave and be sensible and most football fans are welcoming.

Possibly only had a great time because we lost 4-0! Imagine if we’d won 4-0 amongst them!
Tbh i think you’re right. I accompanied the old man to watch Pompey vs Cardiff in the FA Cup Final a few years back. 1-0 Pompey. We had to sit in with the Cardiff fans. The old man hardly moved when Pompey scored and they won…something which in 60+ years he thought he’d never see.
We must’ve drawn attention to ourselves some how cos at the end of the game the Cardiff fans around shook our hands and said well done*.
Like you say don’t be a dick and youll be ok.

Remember being pretty much surrounded by about 50 Chelsea in the Sky Blue Stand, first game of the season 1997/98.

One of the weirder things that happened as a match for me was vs West Ham circa 98/99 - they had kitson and hartson et al.

Got to my seat and was surprisingly sat next to a bloke, Paul, who I’d been at university with. He was there to watch West Ham. It wasn’t until they scored that we realised we were entirely surrounded by dozens of West Ham fans.
In the end I was glad Paul was there! Never saw him again!

Remember Man Utd in the West Terrace thoughout the 90s. They'd jump up and down and celebrate if they scored. Always drew angry reactions from the regulars to the point stewards either had to step in and quieten them or remove them.

We only know about those that were idiots. How many were there and were respectful of where they were (a home end) and didn't draw attention to themselves ?

I remember Man Utd in about 1975-76 turning up early and taking the whole West End and also being everywhere else around the ground, think the gate was around 35,000 and it seemed about half & half.

The 92/93?? Easter Monday game when Quinn got sent off was 75% Utd in the ground. People selling their ST stubs for 50-60 quid, think Utd were going for their first title in 20 odd years.
