Bigger than ours but of course all funded by parachute payments. What was Wigan's budget?
Droning on about what? My only point is its pointless droning on about sisu needing to throw money at TM, because they arent going to do that.
The reason I posted what I did, is because we already have 2 threads on similar subjects. The OP wants cheap STs and Investment, its very likely we made a loss from reducing the STs last season, that impacts directly on Mowbrays budget. The STs are still one of the cheapest in the league.
We'd all love an owner who will gift the club money, but we don't have one, we have this bunch of c.... There have been plenty of teams that have challenged and been promoted in the 4 years we've been in this league that have a lot less resource than we do. If putting the tickets back up to pre sixfields prices means another £300-400k for TM to spend then its the right decision. This season has shown that if the football is good people will attend.
TM just needs to be more savvy with his scouting and signings next season and we should be challenging again. We weren't far away this season.

I thought TM had the best scouts working for him? Obviously not according to you.
They still have parachute payments (turnover £28m last season), and las season their wage bill was £26m (£30m season before that), so you would imagine this season at the lowest it would have been at least half that if not more. What was Wigan's budget?

TM and Venus have had to set up the scouting system from scratch, he's even said its not fully embedded and will take a couple of years to come to fruition.I thought TM had the best scouts working for him? Obviously not according to you.

Wigan still have parachute payments, their turnover even dropping out the championship will still be over £20m, ours is about £5m. After saying no one expects us to throw millions are you now suggesting we throw millions and match Wigan? So are you saying that Wigan throwing all that money at this season has brought them success and promotion?

They haven't thrown any investment at it? They've been given a chunk of money to spend. So are you saying that Wigan throwing all that money at this season has brought them success and promotion?
You would expect sheff United to be higher, maybe Bradford?Genuine question... If our budget was 6th to 8th in this league where did the higher budget teams finish? excluding the obvious Wigan budget.
Millwall and Peterborough too I would have thoughtmYou would expect sheff United to be higher, maybe Bradford?
Yep, forgot about millwall!Millwall and Peterborough too I would have thoughtm

Actually, Blackpool's might be higher too given they were relegated from the championship.Yep, forgot about millwall!
Not sure about walsall, you didn't mention Burton though as I'm not sure they have a bigger budgetGoing on the way you both don't know for certain, how about Walsall, Barnsley, and Bradford eh?

It's hard to say without knowing the exact teams, as teams with lower budgets will have also finished above us. Sheff utd, posh and maybe Oldham are below usSo would it be fair to say that the teams with the higher budgets finished above CCFC?
You'd imagine Sheffield United are the second highest budget, maybe Bradford but the cheap season tickets brings limited revenue.Genuine question... If our budget was 6th to 8th in this league where did the higher budget teams finish? excluding the obvious Wigan budget.
Bury threw a load of money at their team this year.
I doubt Burton or walsalls wage bills are bigger than ours, walsalls owner runs a tight ship.I would imagine it goes something like this....
Wigan
Burton
Millwall
Bradford
Walsall
P'borough
Sheff Utd
CCFC............... I would also think Blackpool would be way down at the bottom of that list.
I don't know for sure just the same as every other wannabe Statto. but think it might be somewhere near
