To be fair to Andy Blair, if ever I've wanted a pair of shin pads or what have you he's always been straight with me. As for Kevin Campbell, I've never had dealings with him. Seems nice.

I listened to what TF said last night..... all sounded pretty convincing (if you didnt look into the background)
Player budget
on the face of it should be 65% of a turnover. But which turnover last years or the budget? and what is classed as eligible turnover? If it is the budget then TF said turnover would be £5.5m going forward - that would mean a budget of £3.575m maximum for next season to pay wages (not the budget to buy players). TF wouldn't be drawn on how much was available to buy players only said that the squad would be competitive ..... my guess is that there is no lump sum to buy players without selling someone and even then thats not guaranteed.
so I thought I would ask the Football League some questions
In League 1 there is a 65% salary limit for all clubs. Is that 65% based on the budget set for the coming season, or the turnover (after adjustments) in the last season?
Does the 65% apply to all wages/salaries paid by the club or only the amounts paid to the players ?
are players on existing contracts excluded from the calculation in any way ?

SCMP splits turnover into ‘normal income’ and ‘football fortune’ income. For League 1 clubs both these forms of income go into determining how much money a club can spend in relation to wages. In League 1’s case, this is set at 65% of turnover. This is calculated on an on-going basis going forward.
All player wages are included in the calculation. This covers basic wage, bonuses, appearances and any other add-ons. The calculation also includes PAYE, medical costs, cars and travel and also agent payments. Basically the full cost of a player is included. Players included are all contract players (full contract, non-contract, multiplicity etc.) and loan players. Players loaned out are deducted for the period of the loan. Players not included are youth players on a professional contract (i.e. players that have been in the club’s YD scheme and have been given a pro contract. They must be 20 years of age or under at the start of the season to be discounted from the SCMP calculation.

Am I right in thinking then that the 65% relates only to the players as per your details and Wages and salaries for office staff, commercial staff, directors are not part of the calculation. Are the amounts paid to managers and coaching staff included in the 65% calculation or not?
Or am I misunderstanding and it is all wages for all employees of the club that (with the adjustments you said) are to be 65% or less?

But lets be clear any transactions at CCFC are going to be strictly within budget, the finances will come first every time ..... our finances are close to terminal ........ think we need to adjust expectations accordingly.

because to the 65% player budget you have to add players under 20, manager & coaching staff, office and commercial staff, grounds and steward wages, the financial staff etc before even paying any other overheads. Where does the rest of the money come from ? how will that stabilise the finances? Is TF being careful with his words and relying on fans to just read a straight 65% of wages in total to Turnover? How are we not going to be making big losses again ?

OSB, 2011 turnover for SBSL, excluding ProZone, was £12m. Commercial revenue was £8m-associated losses with relegation cut this in half. The other £4m came from match receipts-a figure which would be lower, though not significantly so, with falling crowds and ST sales. A best guess would place SBSL turnover at £7m under these circumstances.

Forget what Fisher is saying - he is simply towing the party line and trying the usual bull to persuade some to buy tickets. It is patently obvious to anyone that SISU will no longer put money into the club therefore as I can figure it SISU have three options:
1. Find an investment partner to fund keeping Keogh and getting some new players in
2. Fund ongoing losses by sale of Keogh and anyone else who can be, maybe even buyout some of the high earners and play with just the kids, to hell with footballing consequences
3. Put club into admin/liquidation and simply wash hands of whole sorry mess
1. certainly isn't happening so its a 50/50 between 2 and 3. Personally I think Joy(less) will attempt 2 and finally resort to 3.

If they are losing 6 million a year, no-one is going to pay 6 million for the club now, or next season, so surely they are best cutting their losses ?
Even with kids, income will drop with gate receipts and less money from tv etc, so they are never going to be in the black
