Astute, not having a go at you personally but I was at a meeting many many years ago with Paul Fletcher before any of us had even heard of SISU (the guy who struck the deal with the club while working for ACL) he was saying way back then that the rent was unsustainable and pleas for help from ACL were falling on deaf ears. Not having a go at ACL, it's their business but they sure didn't help the matter, they're not some sort of fairy god mother that cares for the club, they are a business.
Build? In a year they managed to get a couple of pictures together. If we needed them to build something we would all be dead by the time they would be ready to sell
They would make lots of money in the long run keeping the arena and letting our club go. They know themselves the difficulties and expense of building another stadium. They have seen that most won't keep going to another ground. They know they would have a captive audience. So we have no idea what they would do.
No City fans at Sixfields, the Football League will cave in and so will Sisu.

It will make national news. We'll be even more of a laughing stock than we are now.
Torchy, we all have kids and grandkids. Take your son to the away games and sacrifice a bit like the rest of us have. And anyone else in that position, lest anyone think I'm singling Torchy out, which I'm not.
I'm entitled to my opinion. I don't insult or abuse anyone when I express my opinion, although I get it from some, including you. (I might have tongue in cheek called you Battery Boy - you might be old enough to recognise the reference?)
Ultimately everyone makes their own decisions of course. However, I'm not going to hold back on my views for the sake of some PC etiquette.
There is a much bigger picture here. I make no apologies for repeating that fans going to Sixfields (a minority of our fanbase) are a big part of the problem.
I disagree strongly with anyone who says fans at Sixfields are NOT supporting Sisu. Absolute tosh. Just being there is condoning their actions.
An empty stadium will make waves, not least among the management team, SP and the players. Pressley is already making noises about Sixfields.
Imagine opening home game, 324 fans from Crewe and nobody else. No one can tell me that wouldn't cause waves.

Abolutely spot on. No one wants to play at Sixfields. No one wants the club to be in the mess it’s in. Unfortunately, to people like Spion (and the many that agree with his posts), things are black and white. Attendance at Sixfields doesn’t mean you are condoning or agreeing with SISUs actions. However, the easy way for him is to label those that have chosen to go “wrong”, “traitors”, “morally bankrupt”, etc. There’s always been a vocal majority who think as they shout the loudest then everyone should unquestioningly agree with the stance that they personally wish to take. They really do find it difficult that some do not agree with them.
I have absolutely no problem with those who boycott, go to away games only, those who stand on the hill or those that attend Sixfields to watch their team. It’s not really anyone else’s business to judge what an individual fan decides to do. Whatever their choice it no way says “good on you SISU” or “well done ACL”.
I only have an issue with those who tell me how I must act or think.
This season was strange for me. I started off boycotting with the majority but decided to go as my Sky Blue son wanted to. Yes, simple as that. If Spion and his mates think that is “claptrap” then fine. If he and they want to continue to say attendees are to blame then again, fine. That is up to them. My son’s enjoyment of watching him team, win lose or draw is worth a million “it’s all their fault” threads.
In fact, this season I’ve seen more football than I have since the 90s. We’ve done ten away games too this season. I don’t regret for one second taking him and I will get a season ticket for the both of us next season too, whether we are playing at Sixfields or hopefully the Ricoh.
Your last line is so true “blaming fans for their choices is a cop out” It is. We’ve had some really nasty stuff posted on here this season - from hoping for car crashes to "happy to chin anyone that goes". Sometimes it’s hard to believe we all support the same team.
It seems amongst all the name calling and mud slinging we’ve forgotten that simple fact.
In that case then we will not hear anymore posts from you about CCFC fans going to watch Cov at MK or big name cup games?
Turkey, yes I disagree with you. With the greatest respect.
Going to Sixfields is a betrayal of our club. Dress it up however you like, it is a betrayal.
I strongly disagree, but there you go. You are causing as many divisions as SISU IMHO.
I don't think anybody actually has a problem with them, it's just when people spout about giving sisu money or supporting franchise clubs
Turkey, disagree with pretty well all you said. But at least you discuss stuff with grace.
I would never criticise the Hillers. I've been one three times this season. In fact, I'd give them medals.
No, filling Sixfields. Never. The only thing that motivates Sisu is money. Not the long term, the community aspect of things. They just don't care. So giving them money at Sixfields is a non starter. Hit them where it hurts.
As for away games. I went to 15 away games this season and bought my tickets off the home club each time. Sisu didn't get a penny. I usually sit in the home club's main stand. It's so easy to do.
And I get to sit down which I prefer. And I can rattle my jewelry!
Hey, if CCFC come back to the Ricoh I'll be first in the queue, just like you I guess.
You really believe that Spion is more devisive than Sisu ?I strongly disagree, but there you go. You are causing as many divisions as SISU IMHO.
No, I'll never give SISU another penny I will not return to supporting my club until SISU have gone.
But that is my personal view and wouldn't force it on anyone or criticise anyone who disagreed with me.
I was talking about effective protest. The hill is great, makes me feel better, whether it's effective is anyone's guess but I believe the only effective protest now is to push the panic buttons of the football league and the only way to do that is to get the rest of the member clubs to force the issue. I suggested a way for that to happen.
You really believe that Spion is more devisive than Sisu ?
Don't think I'm causing any divisions. I'm expressing an opinion. An opinion I think is shared by many. That's why they stay away from Sixfields.
There are no real divisions amongst the fanbase, the vast majority stay away from Sixfields. And I applaud that.
I'd say City fans are pretty well together in opposition to Sixfields. They know it's wrong. Very wrong.
Just can't see that outcome from your suggestion TT.

Did you ask Paul Fletcher then why his signature was on the rental agreement?
Most people who don't go to Sixfields just find it inconvenient and not worth it. Most don't share you jaundiced vitriol you sad, stupid little man.
Yes, because he got the best deal for ACL. Although I would argue that tying down your anchor tenant to an unsustainable rent isn't really getting the best deal long term. I was answering a specific point that was made about certain parties caring for the club. I disagreed, it was, is and should be about business.
LOL...and you don't throw petrol on the fire too ?Nah, probably not. But he certainly is divisive with his contact "betrayal" comments. He adds fuel to the fire, which is probably what he intends to do.

I don't disagree with what your saying, I just don't like hypocrites such as Paul Fletcher.

Me neither, this was around six months before he jacked. My own view at the time was the deal was done with the club in a very weak position so agreed because the alternative was admin.
Probably saw what was coming...
