Is this why Seppala met Robins at coombe abbey, to discuss our temporary plans for a groundshare?Haven't we all been through this pain before - Coventry have to play in Coventry full stop - EFL have said Coventry must play in Coventry - playing out of the city we will not attract the players or the fans and Robins for one will be off - a good offer has been put on the table take it and let us get on with supporting our team in our home city - if we play anywhere else the club will never improve and eventually end up non - league

Could happen I suppose but do we have time and who pays, that’s something that’s not been mentioned yet.Don't know if there is any truth in this but it reminds me of when Brighton went to the Withdean stadium
I went there for an athletics match years before and then again after they moved in and built temporary stands
The transformation was incredible and you'd never have thought it possible
They had similar access problems as it was in an affluent area so local residents fears had to be accommodated
It turned our really well eventually and was the start of the club's resurgence
No way Butlin Road could be extended to 9,000. The only real space for a decent size temporary stand is behind one of the goals but that would mean sacrificing a 3G pitch which surely wouldn't happen.
The council will make recommendations but it will be the Planning Committee who have the final say.Surely the local residents in rugby wont have a say with their local council.
That seems to be how it works in Coventry
Trains from Coventry to Rugby on a Saturday
13.48 - 13.58
14.00 - 14.11
14.11 - 14.22
14.21 - 14.31
Return:

If you get in touch with me I'll have a big wodge of tickets I don't need.
No flies on you kidAm I the only one to notice that the OP's suggestion of what Fisher said is that we're moving to "rugby" not 'Rugby'?
Far from this being a ground switch it could be a code switch.
This town ain't big enough for three gangs of egg chuckers.
It's all going backwards.
Maybe it pays to get it out there to pressure London wasps
Exactly - costs nothing to do it and potentially it could be quite effective. Just depends on how important our rent income is to Wasps.
If its temporary structures couldn't they get around that by taking them down once a month? Have a feeling you can stick temporary stands up for 28 days without planning permission. The Planning process for upgrading Butlin Rd could easily take up to a year if there are objections.
Would be very difficult to object as the ground is already there and capable of holding 6K. Like moving next to an airport and complaining about planes. But is it correct there is only one road to get to the ground and you would be talking being in use every week plus night games do you think local residents will accept that ?
If we move from the Ricoh would the company that runs the casino get a reduced rent due to the reduction in foot fall?
Same with the hotel and Compass although am I right to say they are tied to wasps in some way?
You've got to assume they wouldn't be happy and I find it hard to imagine that, with the uncertainly over us staying, contracts have been agreed that don't take that in to account. For example the contract to operate the car parks, that's £400K+ revenue a year lost, no company would be happy with that.If we move from the Ricoh would the company that runs the casino get a reduced rent due to the reduction in foot fall?

Airport is still there and there's flights in and out every day?Worked for the residents of Baginton

That is reassuring especially the last statementContrary to some reports on social media overnight, Chairman Tim Fisher did not make any announcement about a grounshare next season with Rugby Town, or any other venue, for next season at yesterday's game. Our aim and our Plan A is to be playing at the Ricoh Arena next season, as stated above.

But it couldn’t be expanded in the way that the then leaseholders wantedAirport is still there and there's flights in and out every day?
I read this as a denial that Tim Fisher said anything about a groundshare at Rugby Town at the match yesterday and that the aim remains to play at the Ricoh next season. There’s is no denial of Rugby Town being a considered option. Not ruling out the rumours entirely yet!
Cause we have been forced out of Coventry one way or another unfortunatelyWe are a Coventry club why buy a ground in pissing Rugby
