Although not mathematically safe I do believe that barring some sort unbelievable set of circumstances and results we are. So what next ? Well I believe this is a classic opportunity for our supporters to unite and stick together, I am talking about committing to season tickets too early. Our owners will be desperate to get us to put our hands in our pockets early, we need to stand firm and resist that, one until the ink is dry on an extended contract for Tony Mowbray and two until proof of some sort of commitment to show meaningful investment in our team, the first proof will be to allow TM to bring in his own backroom staff as he pleases, that should happen immediately Mowbray becomes our long term manager.

To give these owners with their past record your hard earned in advance of atl east any of the above happening would be complete folly, not saying don't go to games in fact do go to games, but just go on a match by match basis, put the £250/£300 season ticket money in a biscuit tin and pay game by game. I know lots of lapsed fans who won't go to games as they used to for many reasons mostly owner based but there's a lot of difference between fans who won't go to those who don't go, the won'ts will come back but it is a struggle to get the don'ts back.

I think there's about 5000 season ticket holders presently which is a about one and a half million quid in advance of any fulfilled promise, crazy to give it them too soon.

I can agree with this statement, makes no difference if you bought a ST or not this year but we should all stick together until true commitment from our owners is shown. At present although we still intend to go to games we will not renew ours for next season.

Knew this would wake you from your recent slumber did you read it or were you prompted to put in a reply, I wonder ? Our owners or those working on their behalf have sort of eluded to providing some sort of backing to the guy we all want as manager soon to be decision time regards that could be interesting.

The strategy killing our club is gathering money in ticket sales pre-season and seeing most of that money disappearing to the Cayman Islands.

The only strategy that has been killing our club is SISU's.

I think the 'half priced shirt' lure may be a little tricky given that they can't get the damn things in the shop in the first place!

Theproblem is as soon as you push for a collective effort, we start having tedious claims about scabbing, morals (and there's always someone with better morals round the corner, those who don't think split-arses asked for it, for example).

And like it or not, don't buy a season ticket, like me... and I can't really be surprised when a Callum Wilson is sold to make up for it.

Ditto, why believe 'investment' before? The old Robinson trick of buy a player or two to get fans excited just before the early bird offer finished... only for the likes of Davenport, McSheffrey etc. to then be sold once everyone had signed up for season tickets. Remember that? 'Investment' can't be easily told.

It'll happen anyway. Let's face it it's all so depressing it won't need a co-ordinated campaign to get people not to sign up for a ticket, and likewise if they do do a bit of financial conjury, more will put their hands in their pockets - it's the way of the world.

I never want to hurt the club and usually hurting the owners hurts the club too.

I think the point he is making is we haven't actually got a manager in place to support for next season. Whether his method is right or wrong, his motive is to put pressure on our owners to commit to TM, because he like many of our fans see the acquisition of TM as vital towards moving the club forward.

Many fans also want to see this sort of commitment before they commit to a season ticket. They don't want to see another season of dross due to a lack of organisation and structure within the club.

I'm all for protests against the owners or whatever people want to do but when there's 11 players on the pitch it's Coventry City not SISU.
