so your opinion, which is fair - he does have a track record over the last couple of seasons with us maybe but other than that his record isn’t great (other teams included)

I would probably agree it’s less risky, at the minute, but the risk increases the more time you give him when he doesn’t win and drags us deeper into a relegation fight when a new manager has less time to do anything about it, and if you wait until after Jan no transfer market either

sometimes though you have to take a bigger risk for a bigger reward - and maybe the time is coming if the club and fans’ ambitions are to be matched

the time is coming, no dispute.

I just don’t feel it’s now.

At minimum he needs to have us climbing the table by the January window.

It’s very, very obvious something is wrong. The league position tells you that. I don’t think anyone is denying that. But, we have Robins who has a proven track record. We have King, who is a businessman. And we have a group of players who look delicate. None of us know what the issue is. But on the balance of probability it’s not Robins. So getting rid of him is not likely to be the answer.

Personally don't see King making a big compo payout for someone already in a managerial position so who are we realistically looking at that is available?

Its no good having 100 applications if its the likes of Russell Slade, Andy Thorn and Kenny Jacket applying

Who are the realistic prospects we think we come in and cause a complete turnaround with the squad and coaching setup we have?

Eirik Horneland.

After the Blackburn game, people were talking about a minimum of 4 points from the following 2 games (against two of the poorer teams in the division). Well, we got ZERO. Now people have moved the goalposts to say a minimum of 4 points from the next 2 games. What happens if we get one or two points, or even zero again? Do we kick the can down the road a little further. Do we keep kicking it down the road until possible relegation?

And if we get two wins? You'd no doubt come on here saying the results are "papering over the cracks" and still want Robins out.

Robins is just a good steady L1 L2 manager that got lucky with the Hamer and Gyokores. He hasn't got what it takes for modern day championship football. 45m gone down the swanny, a long road back!
Absolutely correct IF we have any ambition he’s needs sacking asap It’s a results industry no room for sentiment

I think we’re getting a much clearer idea of what’s wrong though to be fair..

1. Whatever Viveash brought has not been replaced adequately
2. The new coaching team isn’t yet working
2. We have little/ no leadership on the field and a set of very fragile & brittle players
3. Robins has had personal issues behind the scenes (meaning point 1 became much more of an issue)

I’m not sure it’s ability, Robins or the players. But the above factors have all come together to create a ‘perfect storm’, luckily none are unfixable.

Not sure about that, play off final and an Fa cup semi final, hamer couldnt stay on the pitch and gykores couldnt hit a barn door, turned them into quality players, ask them what they think of robins, agree with the 45m though, we were better when we had nothing

Ok, so we
No because it would be 3 up front.

Last 10 minutes at 1-0 down trying to go for it.

More of a 4 3 3.

Again, players don't have to be replaced with players in the same position.

I only said tavares because they struggled with bassette pressing them and putting them under pressure. He could have at least done that.
Preston, they defended and ran the game out. Luck was on their side in those last 10 minutes.

I’m merely stating what people wrote post-Blackburn. FWIW I don’t know whether Robins should stay or go, and if we get two wins I will be happy to hopefully see us move up the table a little. No schadenfreude here. I do however have severe reservations about a number of the back room staff.

Ok, so say he keeps his job because he's still got credit in the bank. At what point does that run out? Because it will and some of you need to accept that.

Honestly fuck off the lot of you

I’ve not been to Colchester and Wycombe on cold midweek nights for some twat who couldn’t be arsed to go when we were shit to slag the man who brought us back from there off
Erm… I just got an unwelcome fuck off vibe for no reason other than alexccfc99 thinks he’s on his own….

Doug isn't stupid, he knows that City fans generally will back MR whatever he does so isn't going to pay him off. All this "toxic atmosphere" bollocks is ridiculous too. Might be a few morons but generally over 40 years I've found that our fans will watch any old shite so long as they can have a pint and a sing song. Hardly a cauldron of expectation like Leeds, Newcastle or West Ham, more a soft easy going club.

Our fans will watch any old shite you say, yet we’ve grown attendances by 20,000 since we stopped being any old shite. Doesn’t stack up.

is this one of the reasoned justified arguments as to why he shouldn’t go?
I couldn’t care less.. Mark Robins will turn it round, I’m confident of it

A load of entitled twats who only jumped on the bandwagon when we won a few games will never make me change my mind either

My opinion of the whole experience of watching Coventry City FC and it’s fanbase is about as low as it gets right now, I’d take being back to 10,000 crowds and away ends where you can buy on the day of the game in a heartbeat right now cause if you want my opinion the majority of our fans are self entitled, arrogant c*nts

Can we just give 11 players 10 games ffs changing keeper everweek changing back 2 every week changing changing changing give your best 11 ten games in a row no 60 min subs unless something is dreadfully wrong. You can’t build stability on change

The key to all of this. Robins has been by far the most successful manager in my lifetime. It’s been great. Presently, it is beyond shit. Said a few weeks back if we’re not in the top half by November international break that’s the end for me. I don’t want it to be. I want him to turn it round and lead us to the PL. I just feel, like many players along the way, our ambitions may have now outgrown Robins.

I would agree about top half, but not November though.

I doubt King knows quite what to do, but if I’m him I’m looking for progress before the January window opens, otherwise I’m not gonna back the manager at all, and then that’s the end basically.

This squad should be mid table at a minimum.

If you go bottom of the league Tuesday you have to think something would have to give.
