The only way it makes sense is Wilson wants to leave and he doesn't want details of an injury being made public.

Or it’s something really embarrassing like one of his testicles fell out during a bad challenge

IMO for what it's worth, I think we stick and fully back Robbins and see what happens in the January transfer window.

The squad is top heavy. Doug needs to invest again. We have to write this season off, we’ll stay up. Its not exciting but once a balanced squad is in place lets see what happens.

Its not sentiment either - but short termism to appease some fans isn't the answer.
You'll get nowhere being sensible around here

“People have got to stick behind the players," Robins told BBC CWR. "You can see the bewilderment on the faces of the players. They can't handle the criticism.

This is a very odd comment from Mark

why is it?

we’ve been here before when players get singled out, it turns toxic- it doesn’t get us anywhere and doesn’t help. All it does is give some people the excuse they need to start ranting & raving.

Are we thinking this relates to Sheaf in particular, Simms and obviously Vivash?

You know what, I think fair enough. Going to try and avoid being as negative as I can be, and give it until Sunderland international break.

We always say we have roles to play, regardless of everything want us to be able to say we did everything we could to back Robins.

I do not see anyone ranting and raving

Internally you’d think the players were confident of a good season?

Think it’s more this is the youngest squad Mark has had. He can’t be on the pitch with them, and there hurting. They concede a silly corner and there heads drop.

I know it’s not the same but when I used to play Rugby I did this, any small mistake I made became a mountain that anything good I did, I forgot two seconds after.

Think without the older lads to pick them up, it’s getting into there heads, everyone has a role to get them back out of there and push them on.

Yeah think that’s the big problem. I can argue tactics as I have but this is a young squad (maybe the second youngest after Sunderland). Confidence is always important the younger they are as you just don’t have the life skills to pull yourself back up.

Think it must be a big dent to confidence to be told your going to be up there to suddenly looking to be in a relegation scrap

Yeah I get that logic, but I just worry what we're becoming as an actual force in truth?

Thinking back to that Milne era I guess I was super supportive of that team,so yeah I can see parallel's on that scale, I'm older now and cynical, but I've never abused any of them in the flesh and not on here in truth but the owner has set some strange boundaries or Mark has like he's just had a demascine moment, very confused tbf?

I get that but think what annoys most to argue about Robins is we all know or can see sparks of how talented they can be.

Thinking on it with a positive lens, once we get going and start picking up some results. I could see being hard to stop. All the ingredients per say are there from technical pov, just need them to start to believe it and play as good as they can.

Think we all did that. I know I was guilty thinking we would be second. In reflection while they all want to do well, the pressure that must then cause when it doesn’t go to plan must be immense.

I have heard behind close doors, a couple are feeling the weight of the world to turn it around. But people don’t just have the maturity and emotional strength in life, you gain it through tough times and that can be a process.

you also gain it from having people alongside you that have been there, seen it & done it and know how to deal with pressure- we don’t have any of those any more

Yeah, I’ve, because I’m a sad act, already started thinking about who I’d like the club to target and both are captains at there clubs.

Robins can’t pull them together on the pitch, it’s hard and even harder like you say without a faz or Kelly. Even Allen who’s been around the block and knows to keep there heads up.

Think Joel won a lot of my respect for speaking up about it after Preston. If I’m Robins I would promote Joel to vice Captain and try and no matter the score line remind the lads how good they can be. As others have pointed out, they almost got to a FA Cup final. Push that internally, get them believing and who knows what happens

Completely agree.
Stability is what the club and players need right now, there has been a significant, looking like overwhelming amount of change happen that has obviously unsettled things behind the scenes and thats being displayed on the pitch.
the absolute worst thing to do now would be to make that worse by sacking the epitome of stability in Robins, and being in a replacement, which will then trigger another period of upheaval and change.

We are not going to get relegated this year, and tbh i think Robins would walk if he believed that to be the case.

It is looking like a disappointing season from a promotion or playoff perspective, but thats the context with which we’re judging our current performance. That mentality is a huge leap forward for this club, that has been brought on by the change in ownership and the change of attitude being portrayed by the club.
Really important now not to take the step backwards by sacking the manager
And the person responsible for all the changes, and the pace of change? Doug King!!

Robins camp. But starting to waver.I see people on a lot of post saying till Christmas well Boxing day fixture is half way another 13 games.
7 away 6 home If we carry on at current average 19 points. I think the manager would have already moved on.

I would say this is quite consistent with what MR has said in the past about this and previous squads.

If I remember rightly, he's said the squad is a quiet bunch and thrive off positivity rather than negativity.

Not saying I agree or disagree, nor believe they shouldn't be more resilient, but MR is consistent with the message.

I think this boils down to lack of experience and leadership again.

Can see where a Mcfadzean and Kelly would handle this situation to help motivate the younger players to put in better performances and turn the criticism from the stands into something constructive on the training pitch and going forward.

Whereas the current squad all react by looking at someone else to show leadership and asking each other what do we do now.

Think this is the big point isn’t it. Robins can’t help them on the pitch. It’s up to the players to motivate each other and keep heads up.

Hoping Sheaf steps up as a leader sure he will the longer he is in the role, looks like Joel could start to stand up as one based on his interview and reactions in games.

simple fix, just tell them they’re playing against man utd wolves or spurs every week, nothing wrong with the team selection, formation, players or manager in those games there’s a decent side in that squad but it’s bloody hiding well

Both of them hopefully. Those 2 and Bidwell I see as the only leaders in the squad really. Eccles possibly but not much else in their to fight.

Bidwell is a great shout as well. Additionally want us to get Liam on board. Not sure what’s going on there but he was a captain at Barnsley, there has to be a leader in there just need to draw it out. Easier said then done as always.

Do you think we could demand they wear the Tottenham away kit 🤣
