It's also worth noting that when Wilson did come back Clarke had gone to Wolves and Moussa had signed himself of sick ahead of moving on at the end of the season on a free. So the form second half of the season was more than other teams sussed us out and no plan B. The spine of the team was gone so it wasn't surprising that we were a different team second half of the season. Plan B was make do with what we had left as there was no other options.

Point taken, Tony, but could the same not be said for the injuries and suspensions (and curious subbings) we are now suffering?

I was gonna mention TM changing the team after a 5-0 away win, sticking Madison on the bench, even though we'd had a weekend off for the cup.

I couldn't find my tin hat so didn't bother.

Pressleys main problem was that his transfer dealings were shocking and that he changed his system based on whatever whim he felt that day.

Indeed, especially in defence. The big difference (I hope) this season is that we have the ability to sign players plus aside from defence we do have options from the bench. We just need to work out howto get the most out of those options.

I can't see us falling into a second half of the season slump like we did at Sixfields. I just see current form as a blip that we'll now kick on from. Fingers crossed. Either way the team has made huge strides this season and if we don't make the automatic places or play offs although I'll be disapointed it can only be a measured progress from last season and that's a step in the right direction however you look at it.

Once he ditched the Waggott transfer policy Samuel, Pennington, Stokes (although recommended by a coach was still a good spot). As was Donnelly (who unfortunately went back on day one due to the Swansea manager being sacked).

Pressley had his faults but he wasn't all bad. Mowbray got his team Presley had his first choice coach rejected. He was genuinely passionate about the club.
