It's now obviously clear from TM's interview with the CT that he is leaving the forwrd and wing positions clear so that he can bring in loanees. The Reading lad is one so the Spurs kids must be a winger and a forward.
I say it's a dilema because if you work with a premier league or championship club to loan their players they want their players to play. TM has no option unless a few of these trialists turn out to be gems.
But you can see his thinking more clearer in this interview. It's not he doesn't fancy anyone who is out there. It's because he is working on the agreement with Spurs and Reading.

I would imagine it's more to do with they fact he's working with such a small budget.

And that many of the possible options out there are asking for too higher wage demands, I would imagine a striker released from the Champ that's on £10k a week might be holding out for that or say a minimum of £7k yet in 2 weeks time just before the season starts and still doesn't have a club may reduce these demands significantly.

Maybe TM being wise to the fact that no longer players & agents hold all the cards, yes you want players in ASAP but a player taking £2k a week less as he becomes more desperate for a club saves £100k over the season.

This is very shrewd was TM is doing. Bolsters the squad elsewhere, providing a framework for strikers to do what they do best - score. I wouldn't be surprised to see most of the attack lined up with loanees. It is advantageous to everyone, if you can get them to score.

Relying on other teams to loan us their players is fraught with risk and although that is where we are at it is less than ideal. Since we have been relegated any good runs in form have been due to our strikers McGoldy, leon C Callum. They are the positions which cost the most are in the highest demand and unfortunately no matter how good a manager you are, money talks and if we haven't got it we can expect a few more gems like Jackson, Miller Fonz Chuba Eccleston donnelly Nick the German, Madine Nouble McQuoid Manaset Slager. Samuel was clearly a success but is a dreadful record of strikers and a strategy which has failed in the past here's hoping TM gets it right.
