I don't know why some people aren't understanding this. It's been made pretty clear without ITKs, the club or local media being able to say it outright for obvious reasons.

Guess some people just prefer the idea that King or Dr Roberts forced him out against Robins will.
Think to be fair when a Solicitor was mentioned when Adi did he statement you knew something big was up.

Im sorry but i cant see this and not comment.
We have 5 points this season from a possible 18. Not 6 from 36. Last season is last season, its not relevant anymore thats why the table restarts at 0 in August.

Any talk of sacking Robins now comes from entitled fickle fans that fell for the HMS Piss the League narrative. We have started slow in both previous seasons that 1) saw us reach the play off final and 2) make a decent challenge for the playoffs before the cup run took over and drained the camps resources.

We were bottom of the league at this point in that year we reached the play off final. It absolutely does not matter what position you are in at this point of the year. Do you know who was top of the league last year 6 games in? PRESTON and where did they finish?

A lot of the disgruntlement comes from fans own created narratives and quite frankly the leaks have stopped and we know barely anything of what is happening behind the scenes.
Also, the calls to get Adi back, but sack Robins? Sorry do you want the band back together or not? We were asked last year to let the new players bed in and we were rewarded for it. The same should apply to the new coaches, we're showing glimpses of being a very good team this year, the friendlies against everton and bremen showed it. Give them time.
We are 6! games into the league season, there are 40 remaining, any talk of sacking the manager that has dragged this club kicking and screaming to a position where we can realistically be in the mix for a championship play off place regularly is utter madness.

Im a ST holder, the performances have been awful, this weekend was atrocious but there is not a single part of me that thinks removing Robins make it any better.

I think you’re doing the classic “reading a hundred people’s views and amalgamating them into one person who doesn’t exist”

No one is asking to sack robins and have Adi back. Only a tiny minority are even asking for robins to be sacked.

I think literally everyone has said they understand this. The point is you need to replace him, not just promote a couple of U18 coaches and hope for the best.

Equally, you have to give things time and 6 games, it isn’t enough time to figure out if things need to change.

Looking back to AV’s first season, would anyone have looked at our early performances and felt we’d be playing for Premiership football 5-6 season later. The circumstances are somewhat similar, MR’s long term AM replaced by (ironically) youth coach from Chelsea.

Even the coaches around MR are developing into their new roles.

Give them time absolutely but one of them imo needs to be the Number 2. Need to get some hierarchy involved.

Also while I agree it’s only six games, the concern for me is that we have only gained 6 points in our last 36. That’s a concern.
I've used the 6 in 36/1 win in 12 (or whatever it is now) in other threads. I know it gets a lot of pushback but I think it is a relevant element of our run of form as it is mostly the same players/many of the issues have carried over and is helpful in understanding where the issues lie..

There are obviously times when it is not relevant eg. discussing the new set up, assessing the loss of Adi or projecting where we will finish. In a 'Robins out' thread it's not wrong as it shows his current record, it is just swamped by the context of his last 7 years with the club.

Everything feels a bit 'off' with the squad right now but he has a proven track record of turning things around. If we are still struggling in January this is a discussion worth having. But not now.

Robins will figure out if that’s what he actually needs. 2 months into a season you’re not going to know for sure.

Any neutral observer would feel that it is ridiculous to even have this conversation this early into a season in relation to a manager who’s been head and shoulders above the rest we’ve had since John Sillett.

I get people are frustrated because we all pay our hard earned money to watch our team, but there’s too much emotion (i.e. hot headedness) in the thread.

I seem to remember Lati and someone (Thomas maybe? Can't remember who) having to be pulled apart last season.

I may have imagined this.

I remember something like that. Bidwell and Thomas had a spat at one point, that might have been training though.

For the “this happens every season” lot, genuinely when have you seen team morale this low? Players clearly not arsed. Players fighting on the pitch?

come on. Be serious.
I didn’t see this on Saturday as left early as brother had night shift? Did it kick off after the 90th?

We actually don’t know apart from the things we see on the pitch. Even so, in any team environment, morale fluctuates based on results, all it takes is a momentum shift and things will be ok.

The lack of any senior players is concerning, particularly in difficult times like this. This is where is suspect we really miss Sheaf and the likes of Kelly and McFadz.

I didn’t vote out but on the recruitment angle.

On 1) I think this would be extremely difficult to get right considering how big a hole Mark would leave at the club considering he’s been probably the best (at least one of) in our history.

But likewise we’ve got 6 points out of 36. If that continues you can’t stick with it and worrying about who else could do the job would only hurt that.

On the question, think I’d keep an open mind. Would be the first time the recruitment staff, performance director and Doug would have to recruit a manager. Big Big job but would rather judge them on the results after the fact.

2) Want to preface this that at the moment Robins deserves time to tweak and work out and if needed to get rid of some of the coaches. If I was in charge I would look at young attacking managers in either the lower bit of the championship or in League one.

Names that come to mind is:

Steven Schumacher

Michael Skubala

Danny Röhl

Dave Challinor

Ian Evatt

Again that’s just the type of manager I would be looking at but want to reconfirm that I think Robins deserves time but needs to prove he can do it without Adi.

I voted to keep Robins as our manager, but if the unthinkable did happen I would go for the current manager of Lincoln City. I would have said Rosenior but can’t see him leaving his current role at Strasbourg.

Said it before and at the risk of saying it again Adi must have done something damning to not even get the obligatory guff of thank you for your service and we wish you well for the future

I'm sure Turner or the club will report on it soon, but the club really should have been protecting Robins recently due to personal life (think fadz last season)

Instead he's still been thrust in front of cameras and taking the blame for recent showings

This is why he's looked so tired and down recently. He should have been protected by the club in my eyes
What can the club do really though? It has to come from him IMO. Sad that that's the case though, paints things in a different light.

I imagine he/the club would have got more stick if results were similar and his new assistants were on media duty - conspiracy theorists on here would no doubt be going wild about how he was being pushed out etc etc.

I want everyone apart from Robins gone. Players. Coaches. Chairman. The lot. Start again. Bum deal.

The more I think about our current situation the more I think that Robins deserves the rest of the season (provided he wants it and we’re not genuinely in a relegation battle) and if we don’t finish fighting around the play-offs area of the table then maybe it’s just time to move on from Robins.

So much has changed since we got promoted from league 1, something’s clearly not right behind the scenes and I think the lack of play style and adaptability maybe means Robins has took us as far as he can. I don’t say that with ease but we’ve genuinely been lacking in all areas for so long I just think how many seasons are we going to waste just trying the same thing with the same manager over and over again?

Maybe things will turn around but if by the end of the season we’re scrapping for 14th place then maybe a new manager is what we’ll need 🤷🏻‍♂️

What was the turning point after our poor start last season, more or less same squad ? Milwall away in November ?

Bizarre amount of “I don’t want Robins gone but we should debate it”. If you don’t want him gone what’s the debate?

Well, 12% of respondents to the poll say they do want him gone, so like it or not there clearly is a debate to be had.

It's reassuring to know that when commenting on the interviews we've been sharp enough to sense something was off, bleary eyed, sometimes, others not but demeanor always courteous etc!
