However the fact they did leave them alone goes to show what utter bulshit they were talking when they went on about fire hazards etc... If this really was true and there is a genuine risk then stewards would have had to take them down today.
Anyone take any pics of the banners out today?
Banner we hung above the A444!
Just the one with the Villa fans supporting the cause:
CAN YOU IMAGINE THE CHAOS IF ALL FOUR BANNERS CAUGHT FIRE AT THE SAME TIME?! LITERALLY A FEW PEOPLE MIGHT HAVE TO MOVE SLIGHTLY, IT WOULD BE MAYHEM! WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE THINKING, BRINGING SUCH A FLAMMABLE MATERIAL INTO SUCH A DANGEROUS ENVIRONMENT?!
But seriously, good on the people that brought them in. However, i'm not sure how much good it does. No attempts to move SISU will make any impact on them whatsoever unless something happens on a far greater scale. The sentiment is great and everything, but 4 homemade banners and the occasional half-arsed song isn't going to bother them in the slightest. I'm not faulting those who brought them, i'm glad someone is doing something. But a greater effort needs to be made if there's any serious intent in the protests. The boycott is a start i guess, so long as that's not half-arsed too!
