Just want to congratulate and thank those who made a stand today. Keep up the good work and hopefully your integrity will start rubbing of on some of our more apathetic fans. SISU OUT.

The stewards made the correct decision not trying to take the banners away, it would have caused much trouble.

They probably realise now just how much worse they made the situation last time. Today they left them alone and our fans were as complacent as ever!

My banner was the one in the corner near the Lloyds Pharmacy stand,White and brown one. A lot of people around us put the thumbs up or nodded in agreement however I'd like to see more banners. Also forgot to remove the one I put on the a444 so ill go get that in the morning SISU OUT

As I've just said in another thread, I think it was quite clever of SISU to allow the banners to be shown. As soon as they went up I expected the stewards to come piling in, particularly the big fat one in the CET stand. Leaving them up was sensible as it avoided any flashpoints and allowed fans to make their point.

I believe the stewards did the right thing in not reacting to them, as soon after the chants died down

These banners are a DANGEROUS fire hazard. You are putting literally THOUSANDS of people at risk by taking them into the ground. Please do not take this WRECKLESS eric.

However the fact they did leave them alone goes to show what utter bulshit they were talking when they went on about fire hazards etc... If this really was true and there is a genuine risk then stewards would have had to take them down today. Or are they all of a sudden no longer a risk? Perhaps we should all complain stating that our lives were put at risk today and heads should fall... Ken...

CAN YOU IMAGINE THE CHAOS IF ALL FOUR BANNERS CAUGHT FIRE AT THE SAME TIME?! LITERALLY A FEW PEOPLE MIGHT HAVE TO MOVE SLIGHTLY, IT WOULD BE MAYHEM! WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE THINKING, BRINGING SUCH A FLAMMABLE MATERIAL INTO SUCH A DANGEROUS ENVIRONMENT?!

But seriously, good on the people that brought them in. However, i'm not sure how much good it does. No attempts to move SISU will make any impact on them whatsoever unless something happens on a far greater scale. The sentiment is great and everything, but 4 homemade banners and the occasional half-arsed song isn't going to bother them in the slightest. I'm not faulting those who brought them, i'm glad someone is doing something. But a greater effort needs to be made if there's any serious intent in the protests. The boycott is a start i guess, so long as that's not half-arsed too!

Can't see a boycott happening meself. If you love footie - good or bad - then people will turn up to watch.

Chief Commentator!
Fair play to the fans who brought them. However, can the owners of the 2 in the Lloyds pharmacy stand please explain why they chose to show their disapproval in CLARET AND BLUE??? (Looked like those colours from where I was sitting). You should be ashamed!! :)

Only kidding. Fair play. Hope to see then Boxing Day too

Not only did we get that banner above the A444 but we bought the bed cover from help the aged on jubilee crescent this morning so helped out a charity too :D

Need more of this on Boxing day guys, This banner would of been seen by thousands of people including those not going to the game today, it reminds everyone that were not just sitting down and accepting this.

We can make a difference, GET SISU OUT

Me and brinner made the 2 banners in the corporate stand. For the record they are Skyblue bed sheets with red lettering.(apolOgies if they looked like claret and blue)

What would be cool is to have banners at Villa Park, Filbert Street (or wherever they play now), St. Andrews etc. However Cov fans are so apathetic I doubt we'll ever see more than 4 or 5 even at the Ricoh.

I agree...half-arsed action and a lot of hot air does nothing...nothing at all. We need serious concerted united action. We don't want to be left saying 'I told you so' when we didn't do everything we could.

This is just the start and i think there will be many more banners etc at the Boxing Day game. I think relegation is almost accepted as inevitable now, although i still have hope, so protests will intensify. I just implore keep any demos peaceful, they will use the old bill and banning orders etc. I sincerely hope for a big attendance against Bristol 25000+ and very vocal. Trouble is are there flights from Portugal that cay ?

Altough the chanting wernt great the banners were deffo a good addition to the protest on Saturday. So...... if you want to make a difference and are not the singing type make a banner and bring it to a game or ie it to a bridge they are the most effective way of getting our voices heard!

Actions speak louder than words afterall. So id ask everyone to make a banner and get it on a bridge anywhere in Coventry!!

Well there's no longer any doubt that SISU are taking our club down to the third tier and maybe beyond. I resisted jumping on the bandwagon for as long as I could but it's now obvious that they do not have the interests of Coventry City at heart and are not good for us. The council have made it abundantly clear that they have no intention of selling their share of the Ricoh to them and so they have no future here. They are totally money orientated and so will have extremely thick skins when it comes to fan protests, they might just not bother coming!

The only thing that will convince them to cut their losses and go is a financial hit. There does need to be a boycott of the Saints FA Cup game for a number of reasons.

a We'll probably lose anyway
b We don't need an FA Cup distraction as we need to concentrate on survival (I accept that a nice cup run would be good for morale and the coffers but it's SISU's coffers)
c It's extra money anyway for us season ticket holders
d It's a way to really make a point without hurting the club too much
e If it hit the media that the reason the crowd at the Ricoh was mainly the away support that would be unique and surely SISU's city backers would take fright.

I'm a boycott of one and I know the mates I go with feel the same.
