I think of him as our poor man's Stuart Pearce, tough guy, tough tackling, likes getting forward and hopefully chips in with a few goals!

You said on the face of it I don’t think many felt he would get ahead of Dabo & if I remember rightly most felt he was cover at LB,Kane started slow but has grown into the team well @Ccfcisparks

On a serious note we got pretty lucky with Kane
He was only available because he'd fallen out with his manager and was persona non grata
And we had the foresight to jump in before there were any other takers
Although he's very much his own man he's been a positive influence at the club since he joined
You often hear old players say there are no characters in the game - well he definitely is one ;)

Brilliant signing and yet more good work from the recruitment team and MR. Too many fans were quick to write him off due to a falling out at QPR.

I think people were critical of the signing as there were so many suggestions that he would be signed as a LWB and that is where he was comfortable.

Most people were happy with the notion of upgrading from Dabo and DaCosta to Dabo and Kane.

He was obviously a steal. He’s played more championship games than most of our squad put together - he’s clearly better than Dabo just on pedigree

Dabo can learn from him and improve.
Also, Dobo has shown commitment to this team whilst playing not fit and out of position.
I expect Dabo to learn from Kane and come on strong again once fully fit and not out of position.
