Would be madness not to call it a day. The human body is very good at giving you messages. Hopefully has earned enough to live a comfortable and healthy long life

Fairly sure most pros are insured against career ending injuries/conditions so I'd imagine he'll get a good chunk plus he's got to have been earning a decent wage though obviously his health is paramount.

Literally there was some African player that refused to retire due to a heart issue he ended up dying this year playing in Albania.
He'd had a device fitted that meant he could carry on and would have saved him (already had I think), but had it taken out on religious grounds. If Lockyer's offered something like that I can see him taking it so he can continue playing.

I was stunned to hear the news about Tom Lockyer while I was following the football reports on BBC. Some of you may know that I have survived four heart attacks, had a double bypass, and had 5 stents inserted over the years. My bypass was back in 2002 and my last heart attack was in 2018. I sure know how Tom's family must feel right now. But from a survivor (up to now!), I will just say, give up footie, take care of yourself and family and carry on enjoying life without the physical stress. (Picture is of me after heart op.)
You got pecs

A decision to be made, he has had a couple of scares now another one might not be just a scare, I can’t think of a tougher sport physically than professional football especially Premiership.
Top level tennis is harde surely , but I agree with the rest

He's a great defender, a big part of the reason they went up, he used to keep Gyokeres quiet in a few games against Luton!

I agree, he's a very fine player. He also seems to be a really nice bloke from what I have heard.

I wish him the very best and hope he is able to play again.

This amazes me - without any reason at all I assumed they were tiny things you wouldn’t know were there. Not a whole bulky battery pyouack!
Can you imagine chatting someone up in a bar.

"Have you got a six pack?"

"Yup, I have. Only mine is on the side, not at the front"

Body sculpting taken to the extreme, like the look of that must get one to match the chip inside?
