Do you think there could be any truth in the Kalas story, especially with you letting Rose go? Would not surprise me if there’s a fair bit of interest in this country and abroad.

Well we need probably 4 or 5 CB's so I don't see why not. I know he's got a pretty poor injury record but is he any good?

He had one long injury (wear and tear from the grind of Championship and international football) but then had issues with the rehab.

If he’s fit and got a partner who doesn’t need to be molly-coddled through the game, then he’s top drawer. Unfortunately until this season, our defence has been inexperienced and it’s not allowed him to concentrate on his own game. This season when he has played he’s been as good as pretty much anyone in this division. Against Man City in the FA Cup he was brilliant.

Despite being right footed, he’s played all his international football as the LCB in a four. He’s better on the ball than he’s given credit for, and he’s rapid too.

He may still sign with us, an offer is on the table, his girlfriend is local too. Nigel Pearson rates him, it’s just we need to operate within our wage structure. Offers likely from abroad too.

Fair enough. No idea where the rumour has really come from originally. Sounds like he'd he a good pick up. We genuinely do have just 1 37 year old CB on the books and we play with a back 3 so certainly need a few in there!

No, doubt it. He cost you like 8 million quid, would have thought you lot will offer him a decent contract if only to get a fee for him.

He's got the ex-Chelsea connection too. Always rated him when I've seen him. Would be very happy signing him
