Didn’t know else where to put it, but the fact that there’s now been a second death in this Brixton Academy crush is just terrifying. To think that a fan and a security guard can both be crushed to death at a huge venue like that is appalling and just shows it can happen anywhere. What kind of total prick thinks they can just try and storm the venue en masse?
Haven't read up but it seems confused that they say there were ticket holders still outside?
Awful though poor lasses.

How does this happen when tickets are supposed to be Bar coded and only used once?
Wonder if some of the security were on take?

A load of people turned up without tickets and tried to storm it. Not dissimilar antics to the Euro's final last summer. Problem is, this was a much smaller and tighter venue and the consequences have been far more serious.

There were some videos on twitter which have now disappeared, but it looked horrendous. I'm sure the media will blame the police/venue/security though.

See also, reports of kids playing on ice after Solihull. Young people are going to be young people. I don't know what the answer is. Such a shame that young lives are lost.

I've not seen the videos but I've been to the venue a few times including earlier this year, I do think it would be difficult to breach security in great numbers but that's just a hunch based on the lay out more than anything.

The video I saw of the inside looked really bad, not sure how the venue can really be blamed when that many people turn up and try to storm it. Found a second video of outside, and it clearly shows a group of people forcing entry. Amazingly though, that's barely mentioned in the BBC article. In fact, it is trying to make out that people are practically fleeing inside due to crushing. Pathetic take.

Somethings gone badly wrong there, (states the obvious).
Fucking wankers, that sort of behaviour was only going to end in tragedy.
