Brizzle
I can't remember the last time we looked so far afield

Agree, this is why I think we should keep hold of Mowbray even if we have a below par season, guy is obviously putting things in place behind the scenes. Spending money on proper scouting and making the training ground somewhere players want to be.

Not good enough for Kaiserslautern? Why does anyone think we should take on another clubs rejects?

With the exception of a few loans, every player we sign will be another clubs reject.

Not sure I'd attribute this to our scouting network. I can't imagine we have scouts at Tamworth let alone Russian. More likely agents touting players around everywhere.

Google translate says...
HJK's ranks is seen on Saturday, along with Liverpool facing Macoumba Kandjin making another comeback HJK's man, when Juhani Ojala walks the field of play after a nine-month break.

- I was last October, and in November became the injury. A great to get to play again, but it might have an easier opponent could have, Ojala says with a laugh.

Recently Russia's top league club Terek Grozny represented Ojala has faced Liverpool before.

- When playing in Switzerland Young Boys in, we were in the same block Europa League. We played against them at home 5-3. I made the five-minute own goal and a goal in the second half.

- Hyypiä and Litmanen have played there, so I followed the team close.

Ojala believes that even if it is friendly, it is the importance of thinking ahead.

- Although Astana next week's game is the most important, and it should invest in one hundred per cent, it is good to have this kind of game below and get to charge, Ojala says.
Uncanny!
Exactly the same as Dongo's lingo this morning. ;)

Is it a done deal ?
I hope so, 27 year old 6-3 " centre half with international experience, sounds good
To me 2 or 3 more of similar quality and a couple of young enthusiastic loans to
Follow and we could be in business.
As others have said I don't recall us signing another Finn, but we've had a few real
Quality Swedes down the years, can't be that different can they.

Not yet. But doesn't matter, if its not this guy, it will be someone else. We will be on fire in Sept
Always fell a tad uneasy when it's released before completion
Would rather be told when deal is done, always think reporting
It could alert others .
Like feckin Rotherham.:bag:

Last few days have been all doom and gloom because we haven't signed anyone even though the window doesn't shut for 3 weeks.
Suddenly we beat a 4th division reserve team and sign a couple of players no ones heard of and expectations go through the roof.
This place is nuts!

Maajoukkuetoppari Juhani Ojala jälleen sairaslistalle
  • 368270053_0.jpg

Ojalan reidestä löytyi lihasrepeämä. Kuva: Lehtikuva / Pekka Sakki

Encouraged and excited about most of this but "Terekin riveihin tavella sveitsilaisesta!?!" Really! Very concerning. X

Don't know anything about the bloke never heard of him.
I am a tiny bit unsure after the Swedish Zanetti signing.
However fingers crossed he turns out to be the real deal.
The fact he hasn't been asked to train with us first suggests he is rated
