I can't see anyone signing Ben Turner until January at least. No-one will take a £2m+ gamble on a player that hasn't kicked a ball for 9 months.
I would expect clubs to make moves for him in January, if he comes back and proves his fitness, whilst maintaining a good performance level.

Def true as I had walked in after getting back from work.
It was in my hall.
Genuine bit of news about Turner and Parkin.
Not sure if deal is finalised but very close.

Parkin is an oaf, only scored over 15 goals one season out of about 11 and that was in league 2. We don't need more unfit players here at the moment.

Saying that in our current situation I would take him as he is better than ROD.

£1m plus Parkin and it's a deal.

£1M will run the club for another 2 months.

I fear another player will leave though.

Why would turner be valued at 2 mill? Nowhere close!
Why not?
Was arguably the best centre half in the championship before he was injured, is 23 years old and has time to improve. I understand he has just had a long term injury but he doesn't have a track record of getting injured over and over again like Deegan or Mcpake.
We would be stupid to let him go for less and if he went for 1 million + Parkin Cardiff would be pulling our trousers down with that deal.

There is no reason to sell him now, if he performs in the team between now and January he could be worth 3-4 million in January.

Don't know why everyone is whining. Parkin would get us goals and make the squad more "balanced" we have defenders! Admittedly Turner is probably one of my fave players at the club but he's been injured and it hasn't been the end of the world. We get a striker who is a bit better than what we have and a little bit of income to help shift SISU.
Not sure about the Parkin thing anyway... What if its just a sell and nothing in return? :/

Comments on twitter are suggesting £750k plus Parkin.

I really am surprised that people are excited by Parkin. His movement is not great, due to his size and if we are continuing with Juke up front, we need someone who can play off him.

Parkin is very similar to Platt in style.

Parking is also 30, a short term measure...

750k + Parkin is an absolute joke. I would need 1.5 million + Parkin to be considered, even then I don't rate Parkin.

Parkin is a decent player at this level, we need a striker desperately. We don't need Turner, how good he is, we don't really need him.
