We should always be looking to strengthen permanently but if we throw all our eggs into trying to get into the playoffs on loan players this year then we could be stuck next year as we own a load of unhappy players who haven't had the game time to push on. No more gunning for instant success lets fucking build something for a change.
To clarify I'm not against getting players in where there is an obvious weakness in the team, or to provide competition that could help our young players improve.

Top sweartastic passion m8 ....but we’re a selling club, always have been. If we sign players on permanent deals and they turn out to be half decent, they’re gone before the contract is up.

Which is what we've done with McNulty and put the investment into Chaplin, Hiwula and Baka. We should give them the opportunity to improve with game time before bringing in loan players ahead of them.

Based on the article he’s a striker, so today’s signing may indicate this won’t happen, unless Bright has been bought in as a winger. Another striker wouldn’t be a bad thing, especially as JCH as the ony striking replacement limits what MR can do to change the game.
Plus, if he’s going to enhance the team, why wouldn’t we? Not sure why there’s an assumption we aren’t going to challenge for anything this season, especially based on the money MR has spent thus far. And, we’re only two places off the play offs with half a season left....

Currently we have three - Sterling, Thomas and Enobakhare - so two more are allowed in any match day squad. In theory we could have up to 8 loan players in total, but I can't see MR getting more than 5.
